Pats PI JOKE call to take Pats out of easy FG, another manning bail out flag on 3rd down stop, and Welker taking out talib no PI on Denver.....

Add to that all the holding that was going on by denvers OL .  Collie was held by theshirt on Brady's FIRST pass to him.   No call.

I agree.  I mean, beside the fact that Denver had twice as many penalties for 2x the yards and the fact that the game opened with Denver losing points on a non call of PI, it was totally in their favor.
Yes....all the calls against Denver was called after the game was decided....the offensive pass interface penalty was pathetic......especially given Manning offenses use the same pick plays and never get called

Bottom line - the Pats lost this from coaches to players. There were a couple of bad calls (the Wes hit on Talib was actually two penalties on Wess athe ball was in the air as well). But it would not have mattered. The Pats were no match for Denver.

You dill weed. Its more WHEN the penalties occur. Extending drive penalties are the worst. 3rd down incomplete? No biggie. Flag. Here you go.

please...u lost to a better team and ur lucky it was that close...Pats fans like u have zero class. Enjoy the Super Bowl
I have more class in my pinkie finger than you ever could, apparently. Why was there no flag on the Welker hit on Talib? Don't say they missed it either. It was right in front of them. You can't explain it. I can take losing, I had zero issue with the last Super Bowl loss. They earned that. The Tyree game? Nah, not so much. So I can take a loss if it's a loss. Not when the zebras have orders on high. That's what happend today. Broncos DBs were holding the Pats all day. Pats couldn't and thus open passes. Thus pitch and catch. All day. When there is such a disparity, that's what you get. Wonder how many funds from an associate of Mannings or Elways appeared in the leagues "special" bank account.

thanks for this post proving my point in spades....sore loser no class...u lost to a better team and ut wasn't even that close...fair and square just like the SBs vs Giants...petulant entitled and no class is no way to go thru life son

This is ignorant of the value of some early momentum in a game on the road.  We have often seen the Pats offense struggle until they brak the ice and get taht first score.  The ticky-tack OFF PI on Hooman was ridiculous , negated a big play and pushed the Patriot out of scoring range with a ridiculous 3rd and 20.

YOure an idiot if you cant see the momentumshift of the timing of this dubious call.   In conjunction with the Welker cheapshot non call....   AND the ticky tack holding call on ANOTHER pick play by Denver that gifted them a 1st down....   you have grounds for the F"K this post.   And the foundation for the Patriots getting screwed out of any early momentum that could have made a more competitive game.

Another missed penalty I just saw on the highlights.  D. Thomas shoves Dennard as he cuts in the end zone creating separation before catching his Touchdown.  Thats OFF. PI.  Hes big enough already.  You let him do that and Dennard has no chance at all.

Completely agree. It's so obvious. Game was at a standstill until Welker cleared out Talib. Then the game changed. The Broncos knew that. The NFL knew that. It's was the time to strike. 3rd and 1, incomplete, hold. First down. Momentum. That's what idiots like 95 percent of the people on this board don't get. Puts you in a hole right off the bat. BB today was perfect. He bit his tounge when the hit on Gronkowski was carried out. How many plays are there in the league like that on a game to game basis? Hundreds. Yet hardly any knee injuries. Those pesky Pats were hanging around. No matter what, they were hanging around. Even into the second quarter yesterday. Take Talib out. If people can't see that, if they refuse to believe it, then it's a sad state of affairs. Then again, it's the internet and most are probably babies anyway. Glad to see BB finally say something. Good for him.

What some here do not get is that a penalty is not the end all to be all.  Yes, penalties hurt, but, the team has another play, make that potentially many plays, after the penalty to execute and overcome it in a vast majority of games.

I completely understand what you mean, but, and this is a BIG but, the team has an opportunity to overcome the penalty.  You are implying from your comment, when an ill timed penalty negates a good play, the team simply quits after it and just does not try anymore because the "momentum" is dead?  Who says that is the case all the time?  As fans, we abhor those penalties that put the team into a hole, but, they can play out of it.  It is not like the penalties ended any chances the Pats could have won the game.

Sigh. This post has some good intentions but let's look at it his way. Game is at a standstill. You call a bogus hold on a 3-1 incompletion. Continues the drive. Take the best corner of any team out of the game, especially against a team like Denver and this is what happens.  Add penalties to that and it keeps the D in the field longer. Gets more tired. They were gassed as the game went on. Yet they didn't call penalties on the Broncos for doing the same things. You can have 5 penalties for 90 yards or 2 for 15 like yesterday.  Maybe those 2 for 15 were at critical junctures (which they were). It's a cumulative effect. Physiologically as well as psychologically. There are so many variables in a normal fair game. Add to it penalties, it's really hurts.
