Re: Fans in Minn smoking CRACK...Think they will trade for Moss

The Pats are loaded to the gills with receivers.  The Krafts and Belichick probably would trade away one year of Moss, but not to a potential Super Bowl rival such as Minnesota.  Assuming that Favre stays upright for another 19 games, it's a possibility.  Favre was only one bad throw away from playing in the SB this past year.

As for the price, expect it to be vastly more than a second round pick.  Moss is still a major hazard downfield if he's not double covered and sometimes when he is.  Last Thursday Brady took three shots downfield at Moss.  One was a touchdown and the impartial announcer pointed out both of the other two times that the cornerback should have been flagged.  All the stars are aligned and Moss is probably one of the Patriots' tickets to a first round bye this year, so the compensation had better be huge.

For the Pats to get rid of Moss right now would be devastating to our offense. Yes...devastating.

While Minny fans may be delirious thinking that they can possibly get him from us, it's not any worse than some of the trade talk that I've seen from Patriots fans on this very board...when talking about trading for players on other teams.

This is a ridiculous thread. Randy will have one of his best years ever with the Pats. He will be positioned to claim top dollars for his age after TB passes to him all year, why would he go to a 40 year old thrower??

Pats need Randy this year to go where they hope to go. Next year they can bid or no bid him based on what he wants, the market and what is available to gain.

Why would either side make a deal, cause Minn wants it??? Yeah that makes business sense..... COME ON MAN!

In Response to Re: Fans in Minn smoking CRACK...Think they will trade for Moss:
You hope they'll pay him? He'll be 34 in Febuary! He dogged it at times last year and he has a long history of being a cancer. Is he still good? Yes. Will he be good 2 years from now? Who knows, I doubt it, he'll be 36. You want to give another long term contract to a guy that will be 36 in the second year of the deal? It's not like this guy is going to take a two year home town discount here.

Ok tell me when he dogged it last year. He was double and trippled covered almost all games because he is still really good. Did you see him run right past the secondary of the Rams like they were standing still? He still has a lot of game left and I would like him to finish it in NE. And the cancer comment is just BS, he has beeh squared away since he has been here, even last year when he was told to go home after being 5 minutes late in a snow storm he did not cause trouble.

They are going to resign Moss... The reason they arent giving him a deal and its smart on Bills part is the fact that one it drives Moss to work harder two allows for the team to not be stuck with a deal with someone who is too old and cant compete anymore just in case.

Good for both sides honestly Moss is staying unless 2 firsts are offered and thats doubtful.
