I don't know, what does it matter. Flacco played one of the worst pass defenses in NFL history and Brady played one of the best. If you give Brady the ball with 2 minutes left to win the game he will almost always do it. He did last year and they went to the SB the rest is just soap opera.
This; McCourty and Arrington were the second worst CB duo in NFL history. Joe Flacco piled up yards on the second worst CB duo in NFL history, why he got the credit he got is a mystery to me.
Let's see him do it to Talib, Dennard and McCourty patroling the deep ball.
Source?
How can that even be true? Arrington had like 8 INTs and was a Pro Bowl candidate for RCB last year. Do you realize how dumb that sounds when we know there are literally dozens of god awful pass defenses from other eras in this league's history?
Arrington is much better suited for the slot and certainly isn't some great CB, but please. Some of our own fan's lack of knowledge of NFL history is disturbing.
Don't expect false statements to go unchecked here.
You spoiled pink hats think BB would keep players who are that bad on the his club?
Brady needs to not be an idiot like throwing into double coverage thinking he's a hero or lobbing underthrown deep balls into triple coverage AFTER his own pass D hooks him up in enemy territory.
NE runs away with that game if Brady doesn't have such a bad game Ugh.
Rock, dude, the 2011 New England Patriots defense is in the record books as the secondary that gave up the 2nd most yards in NFL history.
They're in the record books.
Last time: no one cares about yards and I can guaradamndarntee you that other teams also are in the books from LAST YEAR.
Last year, 3 QBs threw for 5000 yards. DO THE MATH.
Points against is what matters. Please learn the game. GB also finished behind NE LAST YEAR.
So, that would mean the "30th ranked" defense in 2011 is also in the books. Get it? It's an offensive era to set up passing yards, with phantom PIs, roughings, no off PI called, no holding called, etc.
WAKE UP.
God forbid Brady blows it on Sunday. Flacco has no business outperforming Brady this year, last year or any year at home.
Worst DPR to ever play in a Super Sowl. Can't win with that. No one ever has!
Facts are facts, No team, no matter how good their offense, has ever won a Super Bowl with such a horrific DPR. Fact! Fact! Fact!
Don't even bother saying no one ever looks at that because apparently they DO as it's been in the books since the very first SB. (actually 1940)
Do you know what a DPR is? You obviously don't as you keep relating it to the NFL's passer rating system. It's much more than that. It includes ;
%
Yards
YPP
TDs
INTs
Study up!
For a quick comparrison, NE's DPR in 2005 was a poor 87.8 (26th) ,the worst team in the league had a 100.7. Ne's last year was a 102.2
Ne's this year until the last 4-5 games was also a 102+, They've brought it down to a (unrespectable) 92+.
For comparision sake, of all play-off teams, 10 of 12, had a DPR of 78 or less.
NE is NOT in that group, they are last, and all the proof you need to prove NE's Defense did them no favors. It's a miracle they even made the play-offs, never mind win the SB.
