Might not get $20 million but he will get over $15.  Probably $17-$18 million, imo.

Crazy!  Who pays a QB 20 mil?  What kind of idiot GM would sink 1/6 of their cap into one player?

Maybe when that one player has won more playoff games and more Superbowl titles than the Jets organization.

Oh, how sad.  Since Sanchez has been in the NFL he has more playoff wins than Brady and the patsies.   Ouch.  I'm talking about Mark Sanchez, the Jets QB. He has more playoff wins than the patsies.

Funny how you brag about that but scoff at the Pats' greater level of success over the Rex/Sanchez years. You one of those cake and eat it too guys?

Flacco would have to show me more than he has for that kind of money but fortunately for both Flacco and the Ravens I'm not their GM.

any good defense in the playoffs since 2007 is a brady killer.

Our Offense ALWAYS plays to the Ravens strengths, on D.
Defense was figured out, playing for deep ball, and no blitzing. Pitta, Rice, Pierce, underneath. Then a good possesion reciever in Boldin. They beat us at our own game.

True, but the turnovers and lack of execution by the offense in the first half in particular, were also the difference.

People want to blame the D to distract from our best players not playing well on offense. But, if Brady and Welker, for example, played better at times, that game turns out differently.

We cannot have our best offensive players in an offensive era being outplayed by the other team's best players. That's why they win these games.   It's RARE that our D bails out our own offense. It's rare that ANY team's D bails out an offense that turns it over multiple times in the postseason, not just ours. It would have been another example of the D doing just that, but it's not something that commonly goes on.

Pitt's D couldn't do it this year. The Jets D couldn't do it.   Hmm.  Just how many Ds can? Houston's? Denver's? Nope and nope.

Look at the 2007 AFC title game.   LT was a wuss, Rivers had a torn ACL and NE BARELY pulls away from SD late in the 4th after 3 Brady INTs, one of them in the end zone! Good thing our own D didn't have to face a fully healthy LT and Rivers. And that was a D that featured multiple SB winners and what many pink hats here saw as perfect players.

Fast forward to 2011 in the AFC title game. Some guy named Sterling Moore, a rookie, slaps the ball away and bails out another poor offensive showing by the Pats.

People see what they want to see, but until our own QB starts to take the competition seriously and reach down deep again, I am convinced this is how it's going to be. Brady has to live with the idea that an Eli Manning or now a Joe Flacco, is somehow on his level.

They're not, but until he squashes that idea by outplaying those QBs, there's nothing he can say.

He'll go off again for another offseason of vacations, moving into his new house and apparently leaving voicemails on Prolate's answering machine telling him there's always next year.

It should be very interesting to see what changes BB makes for this offense, because they're coming.

there has to be changes in the offense, because the regular season stats are cool and all, but its getting old watching them pu.ke on themselves in the playoffs...maybe if BB brings in randy moss and jerry rice circa 2001, brady might start playing well in the playoffs.

You should be elated. Now you can maybe beat a depleted Raven's team and not one that is slowwwwww and oldddddd.

Just remove yourselves from the cup cake AFC East and maybe the Pats will be battle tested when they play the big boys.

This has more to do with the dearth of true franchise QBs in the NFL than Flacco being Joe Montana. Also think Niners will get great picks if they trade Alex Smith in 2013 (a move that could backfire).

He won some playoff games, but, where is he when it comes to league leaders as a QB?  His name rarely floats to the top and he is too inconsistent.  I guess when your "team" wins games against teams QB'd by the likes of Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Payton Manning, it must mean he is as good a QB as them since his team won games against them, huh?

gotta disagree...dont know ur definition of franchise but i think there are a lot of very good qbs in the league righ now...things go in cycles and i think it's come around to a good future for qbs

certainly better than back when when u had a few superstars on top and a lot of average/stiff qbs

Griffin, Luck, and Wilson changed things re: franchise QBs. Still there are at least ten teams that could use a franchise QB. And there is still time to see if Tannehill, Weedon et al amount to much.

Flacco and I have two things in common!

    1) We both WANT 20mil per year.

    2) Nobody is going to pay us!

If he won a couple super bowls he might deserve it, but he's in the mold of Eli-minated. Gt lucky and hot in the playoffs. he stunk it up most of the regular season.
