Fox's Joe Buck Calls Tom Brady Dreamy. Talk about awkward.

Did any one else hear Joe Buck introduce Tom Brady as the dreamy Tom Brady?
I thought that it was pretty darn funny and i had to replay the video. Even Troy Aikman Had some fun things to say about him. They also said that the reason why they didn't do sideline interviews was b/c the pats didn't allow it. Hum, I wonder why.

What do you guys think? Funny or Awkward?

Rumor has it that Joe Buck is going through a divorce and his sexuality has been called into question.  Just something to ponder.

Did Joe Buck say, "There's that ole dreamy lady killer, Tom Brady, Always focused on the job at hand-Leading his team to Victory."  OR did Joe Buck say, "Wow, Would'ya take a LOOK at Tom Brady for this game, boy He IS dreamy."  Ya know, It's all in the delivery...  Like when someone on this board began a thread this offseason about Brady doing that Boxing Training to get himself in shape, and there was a pic of Brady boxing and some troll mentioned that he looked outta shape, BUT then NeGame responded something like, "Idk, His #ss looks pretty fine ta me!"  And then I believe mosseffect or someone said, "Thank god at least, that's not a guy poster."  So immediately, man-that's just far too tempting a bait for me to even pass up (like those fish lures that magically move all by themselves, omg-I'd be a goner).  So I obviously HAD to respond: "Wow! Would'ya take a look at that dude's #ss?  F-I-N-E baby!"  And then...then noone responded for like 12 hours or so, and Yea- Do you mean "Awkward" like this situation?

I did not like the announcing last night. Maybe it's because it is preseason and they don't take the broadcast that seriously but they didn't offer much last night. They also said something about how Brady was looking very intense and how that connected to his lack of a contract somehow. Brady is very competetive and intense any time he steps on the field for goodness sakes even during practice. He's a perfectionist. That's why he's a winner. They were talking about Brady's hair at some point.

It was a fairly poor commentary and to me they really hadn't done their homework on the players probably because it was preseason. Sort of funny how they don't approach preseason the way Brady approaches preseason and they connect that to Brady's lack of contract rather than his winning approach to football. They could learn a little something from Brady's approach I think. You getting an idea why you never put up Brady's kind of numbers Troy?

What Laz is saying here for those in need of quick break downs,  Tom Brady after working out boxing and MMA could start fighting in the UFC and hurt people with his nice butt. and that maybe the sports anouncer was just wishing his ex wife to be had Tom Bradys body! and that when being oral its all how you deliver! Now thats a break down if I ever heard one, any questions?Yell

Buck's comment was very disturbing as it came out of nowhere. I can't figure out why he said it. Was it supposed to be a jealous man's put-down. I mean, Joe's hairline ain't what it used to be. Just weird thing to say as they went to commercial.

They kept doing extreme close-ups of Tom on the sidelines making sure to get a "dreamy" profile for the female fans. This is all for the benefit of the pinks hats all around the country. He's an A list celebrity now so there's a lot of people watching just to see him.

My wife started watching the Patriots to stare at #sses and now she watches football with me whenever we have the time because she's into the game.

You can take a pink hat and make them a hardcore so if they need to pump up Brady to get more women to watch football than I'm all for it.

On a seperate note I'm very dissapointed that the female Viagra drug didn't work because now I'm stuck with a crop duster.

It was lightheartedly mocking.  C'mon, be a bit for real.  They did get that bit in about no interviews with the Pats, I was glad about it, kind of wondered why all the falcon love, but I figured since it was AT the Falcons, that was the reason.  So, I liked the explanation.  Don't much like the Buck/Aikman combo, or the Buck/Anyone combo, but they did ok.  Explaining for the 12th time about how they letterboxed the stupid SD picture made me nuts, though.  "Same experiece as the HD audience" HA! I saw a guy in the 16th row flick a booger at another guy!

I never had a woman who actually liked football before the celeb-GQ status of half these guys....thus, I'm not married.  Jealous of your last line, from a simple prose perspective, that sh#t was freakin' poetry imo...

I'm less concerned about Buck's potential man-love for Brady than I am about Troy Aikman's cerebral health. I don't remember phrases like "more bigger" and "ill-relevant" being part of his lexicon in previous seasons. Of course, it could just be him shaking off the cobwebs -- I also noticed he wasn't inserting the word "what" arbitrarily into the middle of his sentences as often as he usually does -- so maybe it's a trade-off. But if I was someone who cared about Troy, I would be thinking "CaT Scan."

It favored the Falcons because its Fox (NFC) and all the broadcasts smell if your displaced and have to watch national television at least..

Brady is dreamy. I dream of him hitting his man in the slot all the time. I heard he is really going to focus on the "tight end" this year.

I was thrown off in the second half when they began making comments about how the Pats were a bunch of no names and they couldn't remember them, then made a comment like they were winning anyway, as it was a big surprise. I missed everything that was said but would like to hear it again.

What caught my eye was the very plump Pam Oliver. They never showed much of her, just her big chipmunck cheeks. She must be pregnant. Personanly i just wish they replace her, she's become run of the mill.

Re: Fox's Joe Buck Calls Tom Brady Dreamy. Talk about awkward.

RE: mauthedog's link on Joe Buck, It said this:

"But Buck said a couple of things Thursday night during FOX’s broadcast of the Patriots-Falcons preseason game that made me scratch my head. Before New England quarterback Tom Brady took the field for the first time in the first quarter, Buck uttered: “And now the dreamy Tom Brady will take over for the Patriots…”

Granted, I get that Buck was playing off the notion that women think Brady is a good-looking guy. He even emphasized “dreamy” by holding the “e” longer than the rest of the word while enunciating it (i.e. dreeeeeeeeamy).

But later in the game after sideline reporter Pam Oliver interviewed Falcons’ tight end Tony Gonzalez about his eating strict regiment, Buck dropped this on the listening audience:

“Well we know this, he’s a good looking guy, he’s well-spoken, he’s been in the league forever, he has the best stats of any tight end in the history of the position, but he’ll never be a part of the media because he would always eat alone.'"

Look ALL, As I've stated on this very forum (First-Jesus, how many Gay Threads ARE there?)- Anyway, As I've stated here before- One of my best friends back in HS inevitably told my he was gay, And man-It hurt me bad when he told me that I was the last friend he revealed this to, after I apparently made some derisive anti-gay comments, as an id!ot & senseless juvenile (ya know, High Schooler)...

So man, I am now SO far liberal in my views later in life...  I sorta follow a W.B. Yeats line like scripture: "The worst are filled with passionate intensity, while the best lack all conviction."  As I've lived it, It has often appeared to me, That the most harmful, mean, destructive, and here-Intolerant People, SEEM to KNOW what IS right, what IS wrong...like the freakin' black & white, set-in-stone & absolutely correct Laws of Man & The Universe Have been handed down personally to them, sheez.  While other, see the world & the people in it, as greyer and greyer shades based seemingly on a zillion factors & contingents at play per situation & per individual.

So sorry people, I wanna keep this thread lighthearted; Don't wanna get in a match of righteousness on politics OR here: sexual preference... So perhaps, We should keep this case specific.  HERE: Joe Buck, Buck's Comments, & maybe Buck's Outlet (for lack of a befitting term).

Maaaaan, I don't give 2 sh#ts IF Joe Buck's gay or not.  F' it, IF Buck's gay-Good for him.  Heck, lol-I don't even care IF Buck's a gay football announcer?!?But da dude's GOTTA realize (as that original article makes mention) Football's target audience of for the greater part-Straight Males searching for an outlet for their blood lust, ya know?

So HERE is the smallest, & most basic rule Joe Buck should go by

O.k., Buck- ONLY 1 homoerotic comment per broadcast...  I mean, I can do it all day long, because I have tattoos, shave my head, wear sleeveless T's, and am NOT gay AND I am NOT Nationally Televised, BUT YOU pal, I mean- what is that in the picture from that above Web-Link?  A freakin' silk, collared, black long-sleeze evening shirt...I don't even OWN anything that LOOKS like that, fella!  Man, sheez, There ALREADY is talk'a you bein' gay, so EITHER just come the heck OUT with it, or not!  Man the he!! up here!  Also, you Are Rail-Thin, Got a picture perfect wave hair cut that has all the relevant hair products to keep it in place, AND Oh My FREAKIN' God- What IS that in your bar drink!?!  Huh?  With Q's on your sexuality, You had BETTER answer that it's some sorta imprint on the glass itself, Because THAT is the largest piece of fruit in your drink I have EVER seen!
So in the end, I don't care pal, Heck- I LOVE throwin' certain people off, with "His #rse looks Sweet," Comments, but my target audience is 43 people on a BDC Board, yours is 43 million (some of them still don't like women or black people voting, ya know?)...minor difference.  And Joe- Dear Lord Above- Man Up, 1 Gay Comment per broadcast, And drink a Beer, or something on the rocks here and there, o.k.?  Change your shirt too...
Boy, I really lived up ta Yeats on this one...sheez.
