Francesa - yesterday was payback for tuck rule

Heard him on 660 FAN this morning. He did then go after Jets fans saying they got 2 great gifts this year....

We got shafted on the tuck rule. People are so stupid it's a wonder the world functions.

Would be pathetic if jets get wildcard spot due to the 2 (or more with 9 games to play) gifts - instead of a team that earned its win legitimately

    Talk about revisionist history.

The "tuck rule" was not a Patriot thing.  It is a rule which had been in place for years and was called against the Pats earlier in that same season.  Amazing how EVERYONE conveniently forgets that fact.

Same goes for rules regarding protecting the QB.  They apply to ALL QBs in the NFL, yet, many posters attribute them to protect Brady when all QBs in the league look for a flag whenever they are hit.  Personally, I do not recall TB, after getting hit, look back at the referee with his hand going up and down calling for a flag like I see with other QBs in the league.  He just gets up and calls the next play.

Pretty bad when a rule that was on the books for years and enforced before an OT is somehow connected to a brand new rule no one knows, including Jerome Boger, in OT on 4th down.

Fatcesca is right that the Jet got two gifts, though.   Jets are having another paper tiger season.

Losses up coming to Cincy and NOs. The gift wins just make it so Goodell can keep some seats filled into early December as opposed to what happened last year.

So then why are the Giants, the more popular NY team, 0-6, tons-o-fun?

Steven A on espn ny and said the pats were screwed . He also felt like it took away from the win

Francsessa selectively uses facts the way he wants , he also brought up spygate

And now kay is quoting a writer saying Colon Jets guard that he heard the refs warn the pats on previous fg attempts, problem is that there weren't any and Francesca said there was a lesser push by a jet on the pats.

I really have a problem with the Ryan bros a nd the nfl, ugh

Unfortunately this win will probably let Rex keep his job

Interview with Periera mentioned that as well.

The Patriots have been paying for imaginary sins since about 2006.  You'd think that a few decades of futility and irrelevance would earn you some breaks but not in their minds.

Once and for all..... the call should have been - personal foul, hands to the QB's head, not the tuck rule.

Unfortunately?  As long as he is the face of the franchise, the Jets will be a joke.  I hope he's the coach for the next twenty years.
