The column all the way to the right shows who hasn't been signed yet. These may be inaccurate as of today but there are a lot of verteran players who may have something left in the tank. I know the Seymour trade was to free up cash for Wilfork but how about a little bit on another good verteran back? Lightning could strike twice in the backfield this season.

Any thoughts on any of the backs still available? Any Fred Taylors in there?

Give Sammy Morris the ball. Get the Law firm in there as well and we'll be ok.

I agree with you that the majority of these guys are old but surely there has to be one among this group that contribute in a limited role?

Taylor is not a has been...for god sakes he rolled an ankle. Many of you arm chair QB's roll an ankle on the way to the fridge to grab a brew.

He was the best back we had....but he's a has been. Get real....

Maybe they could hire Najeh Davenport to take a dump in Rex Ryan's closet....

Why would the Patriots sign a running back who is not familiar with

the offensive system and not activate BJGE?

You never know where a thread will take you and in this case its to a scene inside a shady dormroom where a young woman is awakened by weird but somehow familiar noises then sees a figure squating over a laundry basket in her closet.

                         Najeh
Did you get my letter, Mare? The one about
               Ted?

                            MARY
               You sent that?

                            Najeh
Uh-huh. I was worried about you.

                            MARY
               Well...thank you. But...you know you're not
supposed to be within four hundred yards of
               me.

                            Najeh
                     (excited)
That's what I want to tell ya. I've been
               through two years of extensive
psychotherapy and you know what? You were
               right--I needed help.

                            MARY
                     (cautious)
               That's great, Woogie, I'm happy you're
               better--you seem...good--but...you put me
through quite an ordeal, you know.

    Najeh nods aggressively.

                            MARY (cont'd)
I had to move, go to court, change my last
name--you yitted on all my clothes!

    Najeh stands up.

                            Najeh
               Look at me.

    Mary turns her head.

                            Najeh (cont'd)
Look at me, Mary. On my mother's soul, on
God above, on everything that is holy to
me, I did not BM on your clothes.

                            MARY
               Woogie, I caught you red-handed.

                            Najeh
All right, I did, but I was in a weird
               place then.

Re: Free Agent Running Back Still Available

The Pats have 4 healthy running backs on the roster.  Sooner or later Maroney will either get his act together or drop to the bottom of the depth chart.  In the meantime Morris, BJGE and Faulk will be most serviceable if Maroney continues to do more dancing than running.

So sad Maroney cannot get it done. I had the pelasure of watching every game when he was with the Gophers.  Now, he is all bark and no bite.  Hey Ma"phony," the next time I want to see garbage floating around I will spend my Sunday at a landfill.
