well he didn't do much in Minn but he can play TE and FB and the Pats apparently released Thoams according to a post on here. .. so I guess it would make sense here.

They appear set at TE. Baker and Watson appear to be the "pass catchers" (Baker can also block) and Matthews looks like the pure blocking TE. They also appear to be set at RB with 5 making the 53 man roster. He's not a pure FB like Evans was, so I'm not sure what his value would be outside of special teams.
