Gasper: , blame Brady all you want. But the formula for winning championships now is not the one the Patriots used earlier in the millennium.

This isn't rocket science. Children can grasp the concept. When the team can't run, catch, get open or play defense Brady isn't going to save them.

A MEDIOCRE team with a HOF QB can be in the mix almost every time, but is not a threat to be any kind of dynasty.

Hee and haw, wring your hands, cry like a baby that Brady has lost the magic touch, but realize IT ISN"T LIKELY TO HAPPEN with the supporting players being so run of the mill.

Babe is a huge Manning fan as he describes Manning's career plight.  Even this year with a supposed great defense, the D gives up 38 in the playoffs.  Manning has a good game and throws 3 TD's.  ST's give another 2.  Not enough for the defense.

NE's D played better than Denver.  NE's d would have been enough for Denver's O and ST to win the game.  Den didn't have NE's D.

im simply saying that he has underperformed in the playoffs the past 5 years...

Exactly what Rusty has been erroneously ranting about for years.

ok and?? i told you i agree with rusty in alot of what he says.... i didnt want to agree with him and i was holding out hope that brady and the offense would turn it around this year....after the texans game, i was thinking this was the year the offense turns it around in the playoffs and plays to the level they are capable of. but, then they did the same thing they did last year. once they ran into an actual defense, they folded like a cheap tent. 13 points the whole game from an offense tat averaged 34 on the season? that is just over 1/3 of the scoring they averaged per game during the regular season and even in the texans game! so yes, i agree with rusty because it has become painfully obvious that he has been right. while the rest of you [pezz. OG] continue to live in another planet and think that brady can do no wrong.

What is your problem? A blind squirrel can see the entire team was stinking in every phase of the game and Brady was the only one that was doing anything even approaching their job.

But you expect him to somehow overcome poor running, defense, blocking, catching and route running. It's just ridiculous.

Yeah, We all agree that lineman, receivers and runners tend to not show up in some tough playoff games for the offense. Oh well. Tell BB to do a better jib finding players who can perform in the playoffs.

Nothing personal, but I want to see this team win a SB again, not waste chance after chance after chance due to Brady wanting to easily throw to a jackrabbit slot WR for 4 yards and hope that 1st read somehow works all game long to a SB win.

If your greatest GM in the history of the world could cobble together a running game that met the league average or a defense that could do the same then we might just win a SB meathead.

the defense ranked in the top 10 in ppg allowed and the running game scored the most td's out of any team in the league, thats better than average.

when a team that relies on winning the turnover battle to win games during the regular season, goes -3 in the turnover category, they are most likely going to lose. the defense certainly could have forced a turnover or two, but for the most part they were giving the offense the ball back in decent to very good field position. there was one drive where the pats started on their own 45, only went 7 yards, and then punted.....talk about pathetic.

    It's embarrassing, actually.

The Washers rave about how great Brady is in the shotgun spread all year and then when the time comes for him to actually play well, he doesn't, and then they run away.

You're lack of understanding of this game is embarrassing.

What kind of nitwit applauds a defense ranked near the bottom in almost every category and slams the greatest QB to ever play the game? Answer is; a nitwit like YOU.

they will never win another superbowl with the defense they have been putting on the field the last 5 years.

Funny. Last year the secondary was in a shambles and Brady was subpar in the SB, so you're wrong.

It's an offensive league.  QB league.  If we need to change out our QB, then speak up.

Brady had a 100 PR going into the final desperation drive. Meanwhile Eli owned that mickey mouse D. Learn the game dumbkoff.

I wish I could have said the same thing!!  Oh yeah I did....IN SEPTEMBER!!!

    T

This team will NOT win the Super Bowl unless we revert to the Pats of Dillon,Smith and play making defense. The D has already shown that it is more than up to the task early. Stevan Ridley is as good or better(explosive) than both Dillon and Smith during our glory ( We knew we'd win) years. With an O line in flux( for now), Brady is best served under center (with the OPTION TO AUDIBLE) than spread with barely any protection. Teams have seen this for a DECADE and OUR receivers aren't made to break tackles on our BUBBLE SCREENS with the bigger and faster corner. If we are to remain ths fast break O , we need more Torrey Smith than Wes Welker(Speed and Size). That is not who we are anymore. More Ridley, more play action.... LESS RAZZLE DAZZLE( Looking at u Josh and Woody)

    RIDLEY IS  A BEAST!!!!!!!

BRADY STILL EXCELS AT PLAY ACTION!!!!

THE DEFENSE ALREADY HAS TEAM GAME PLANING FOR "THEM"!!!!!

With the exception of the D falling off after making mid season strides, I could say I saw this coming a mile away!!!! Now how do they fix it ??

Put a better team around Brady. Guys who can catch, get open, block, run and play defense against the tough teams.
