With Jacoby Jones as KO/punt returner this Sunday, what about just signing a powerful kicker for this week, who alternates with Gost, keeping his legs fresh, and boom the ball out of the end zone every time?
Gronk will go to IR, how best to use the roster spot?

Fells has to replace Gronk on the gameday roster.

Defensive-line depth never hurts. Another TE or WR wouldn't hurt either.

Assuming they elevate someone from the practice squad, Forston isn't a bad choice. The two receivers (Holmes and Ebert) would also be candidates, I think.

Fells is already on the roster--he's just been inactive. But I do think he will likely be active next week to back up Hoomanawanui as a blocker and maybe even get involved in the passing game a bit.

It was meant as tongue in cheek, like the story of bringing out a midget with no strike zone against a star pitcher to get a critical base on balls. But PS players like Develin or Aiken promoted in the past few weeks had been totally nonproductive, and in some cases, they commited stupid penalty and resulted in unnecessary set back.

If you listen to some people around here they might tell you to get Tebow and take the ball out of Brady's hands 6-12 times!

Big, tall, fast WR.

There's a chance that Woodhead's thumb might keep him out also. Vereen gets the third down touches at tailback if Woodhead sits.
Counting Woodhead, the Patriots need to replace two offensive skills guys, two guys who can catch the football in the flats. Daniel Fells is an obvious choice, because he's been good this season at times. As needed, the Pats can bring in three tight ends.
Maybe a large defensive lineman will help, because Baltimore is a running team and one more wide body on the defensive rotation keeps people fresh for the fourth quarter.
