Is there a  *  next to the team name on the standings chart at NFL.com

No.  If the Pats lose their last two and the Jets win their last two, NE would be a wildcard team.  If NE wins one or NYJ lose one, then the Pats earn the #1 seed.

The Pats just need to win one of the last two games to have homefield advantage through the playoffs. Every other team in the AFC is two games behind or more.

Just a win or a Jets loss for us to clinch homefield.

With the Bills (who haven't beaten NE since September 03) and Fins on the schedule, it's hard to think they won't secure the #1 seed. Even if they played Hoyer they could probably squeak one win in. And if the Jests were to lose in Chicago, it won't matter. If the Steelers and Ravens were to finish at 12-4 NE has the head to head over both. It would be a lot better going into the playoffs on a roll at 14-2, though!
