NE draft is a 4, definately not going with the mainstream thinking, possibility for real value in these selections.

Random thought, Carolina drafts 2 DT's but summary says CB is a need.

Doesn't NE have an extra CB now and could use a DT?

I realize in looking at this list that the talent in the draft wasn't great, and most teams dis about what you would expect based on the draft picks they entered the first two days with. So ...

Buffalo - wasted their first round and their QB selection, nothing else matters - D

Miami - came in with great first two round capital. Big first round move that ONLY made sense for a position of need. Defensive front 7 was not the problem in Miami. OL and DBs are the problem and they got some OK DBs later but nothing on the OL. So I guess another high cost FA signing coming.  - C

Jets - need offensive playmakers and DBs and OL - OK on the first pick, but even with the late OL pick, the offense is still hurting. C.

All the rest - Minn stands out for sitting still for talent to fall in their laps on the first two. And the trade - they go high risk/high reward, Pats go volume low risk/good reward. Different strokes, but decent deal for both teams. - B (+)

Tenn, Houston, St Louis - B good solid stuff - StLo might even be a B+

Dallas living up to the Big D nickname - D

SF - entered the draft with a ton of picks - made their moves, but just haven't impressed me with the results - C-

    Pats - C+/B-

Re: Here's Team By Team Picks; Rate How U ThinkTeams Did (dont gotta be a pro, just everyone's opinion)

    In response to APpats21's comment:

I think were having a very good draft. If were going by your ratings then id give it a 4. Were getting players at positions of needs and theyre good players. Im especially excited about Collins, Dobson, and Boyce. Those 3 guys can flat out play. Love how competitive Collins is. Hes gonna be a beast. Also Dobson and Boyce were great picks. Dobson makes the tough, spectacular catches and Boyce seems to always put himself in a good position. When his team needed a big play, Boyce delivered. Ryan has good size, ball skills, and very intelligent. Harmon obviously was a shock but when you research him you see a physical guy that can deliver a a good hit and has very good football intelligence. Overall it is a great draft and im happy so far.

good to hear some of that ap.dont knwo anyting abotu boyce or harmon. but if hes that intelligent and tough fb player why is he lsited as an udfa by everyone who knwos who he is?

were they really the best players avail. even at their positions?

i had dobson as my 3rd pref wr.

if 2 of these guys are studs ,esp collins and dobson and the others stick and play well id be happ.

well i mean if collins is an all pro (otherwise we blew not taking carradine) and dobson stays healthy and takes 2 dbs with him everywhere and loosens up the defense ill be happy

Without question, we would have 2-3 more rings if BB could draft nearly as well as he can coach.

    Another "meh" draft from him.

Yeah he's had some big time blunders but also some great picks like Gronk. I think every team has their share of busts but Belichick hasn't really done it with first round picks. Thats what kills some of these teams like Oakland.

He's not an idiot like some making picks in the NFL. But he doesn't crap gold bars like some of the kool-aide drinkers here proclaim.

Facts. Without Brady he has been a failure. His greatest achievements were with a lucky pick HOF QB and a number of excellent inherited defensive players.

It is what it is. Since those players have left he has not replaced them adequately and has left a mediocre team around Brady. I'm doubting this draft changes that.

Overall it is a great draft and im happy so far.

hey tp, before the buchannon and boyce pick day 1+2 i was a 2+ or c

after otday including fa's moe and teh big guy im a 3 or b

if more fa signed look good, could go b+ or 4

if collins is a stud and eats qbs and buchannon is as relentless in the nfl as i saw him on a few clips (desire better than chandler jones in the plays i saw imo), and he cleans up his off field crap, it could go A or 5

    thanks for weighing in.

    Pats - C+/B-

    good stuff mia.

    thanks.

i will taek a few days when i have more time to go over the hauls of the league.

if you include fa's could it slip up to b? i can see b- totally

tj moe is a stronger looking welker

agreed and outlined extensively in draft thread yesterday and 1 othr thread dotn rememebr which.

basically said craft should go backl to being the owner. tell bb he can coach but kraft hire the best gm in the league. if bb wants to leave, there are coaches who can win in the nfl for the pats. even a co gm would be ok, where bb doesn get the final say would be good. but need to revamp the whole drafting org.

bb can amass picks, but there are orgs that continue to make leaps (this year)while we make lil steps.

illbe happy if bb wins sb this way, but dont want to go 10 more years with 10 win seasons and no sb. rather win 3 sb and not go to afccg every year.
