    I hate living in CT...

It's happening again!  Another season when one of our Patriots games is not being carried by the Hartford Fox affiliate.  This really gets under my skin.  I just don't understand why the Hartford CBS affiliate has no problem carrying Patriots games, but for some strange reason, Fox can't.  If I truly wanted to watch the Giants, I would watch the broadcast out of New York.  I find it kind of embarassing that a New England station won't televise the home team.  Sorry, just had to vent my frustration.  Carry on.

I thought it was just Fairfield County that was really part of New York.  Hartford used to be a real New England town.  That's a shame.

Hartfod residents are very much New England team supporters.  It's Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots.  That's what makes it so incredibly frustrating.  The demographic here is made-up of a vast majority of Patriots fans.  It's really quite pathetic.  What confuses me though is why CBS is able to carry the games, but Fox says it can't.

I feel your pain. I live in SE CT and people here are 33% Pats, 33% Giants, and 33% random teams. It's like a sin to be a Pats here sometimes. Then our games get canceled for the Giants or Jets. Garbage.

Probably the Giants thing . . . Fox has the NFC and probably has an agreement to show the local NFC team (which would be the Giants) over an AFC team.

I was born in CT by the way and lived in the New London area as a young child . . . we were always New England fans there too. Later in life I lived in Fairfield County . . . definitely New York down there . . .

It's because they are run out of nyc or they have demographics saying there are more Giant fans

Their signal may cover more south off you And in the north they can get boston channels?

Maybe you should write the president of Hartford Fox?

How far north or east do you have to go to get Boston?

I live in central nj , I get NYC and Philly channels

And I am getting the Giants too, even tho the eagles don't play

I feel your pain, I get only  8 Pats games a yr. maybe 10 in some years

and I cannot get direct tv because of my tree line

I'm in South Florida.  Last Sunday, my choices were Dolphins vs Colts or infomercials.

At least you got a good game!

After years of living in NYC, I had to cave in and do the whole enchilada: NFL Sunday Ticket, NHL Center Ice for the Bs, and Extra Innings for the Sox. But, 2 other transplanted Boston friends chipped in so it's worth it.

Used to go to the local sports bar to watch the Pats, but the Giants and Jests fans got to be too much.

Also in metro casino-land, hobo.  And your breakdown is pretty much what I've seen with perhaps a bit of an edge going to the Pats.  It looks like a sports bar for me for Sunday's Pats game.

so jints must be playing at same time... Yes 1:00 v. Carolina.  Head to head that is a tough call.  Fox carries NFC.

I'll have to check but it could be the same here in Burlington vt,  Jints used to do their training camp here back in the day , so ugh.  I just go to the sports bar and watch  4-5 1:00 games at the same time but PATS WILL BE ON THE BIG SCREEN (hopefully...)

Update...  Pats won the " border war" in Burlington!  Fox will be airing pats not jints here in vt...

Might be Giants on Fox and Pats on Fox Sports in my part of the state.  Apparently too early to know for certain.

I live in the UConn area...which is EAST of Hartford...still get the Giants. It happens at least once every year!

I have the mobile NFL Ticket...which doesn't show 'in network' games. Which means I have a feeling I'll be scrwed on that end too since I'm in CT.

It only fuels my dislike of the Giants...

Aereo streams local broadcasts for $8 a month.

In order to have the service out of the Boston area you have to spoof your location which isn't difficult to do.  I understand a lot of people are using it like that.

Connecticut is where runoff from NY sewers drain, wonder if we can get them to succeed from New England.  I hate when I meet somebody from CT and I have to ask them who they root for, the worst is when they pick and choose the current best teams from both NE and NY... I'd rather they just choose NY.

I lived in CT (Hartford) for like a few months, and it SUCKED. I hated being around all those Jints fans (Giants) who are the ULTIMATE loudmouths and hate us just as much as we hate them. GRRR pisses me off just thinking about NY fans. Worst fans and city on the planet.
