If BB and Kraft are serious about winning another Superbowl in the Brady era

They need to spend some money in Free Agency this offseason. Lock up Talib and get Brady a real deep threat. A big quick physical wide receiver. They also need an intimidator on defense. A pass rushing line backer or a hard hitting safety. Somebody opposition offenses have to spend time worrying about and can change a big game. I don't think Ridley is the answer at running back - too many drops and isn't really big enough to take the ball up the middle consistantly. Need a Corey Dillon type running back. The team is good as is and looks good in the regular season but is missing 1 or 2 pieces to be a championship team. Spend the money on the best available in free agency instead of going the bargain basement route they have in free agency.

Tough, tough game to see....so darn mad now I could just scream....

Giants, Jets, Ravens and others speak openly that the Pats are "soft" Ray Lewis spoke of it prior to the game.

    Suggs was a non factor

    Lewis was a non factor

Yet we only could muster 13 measly points!!

We better start drafting players who could also double as MMA fighers in the off season as we were able to take the sissies lunch money during the season but got beat up by the school yard bully (again)

I have to disagree about Suggs and Lewis being non-factors. For one thing they were in on 21 tackles between the two of them (more than Spikes and Mayo). Also, Lewis (and Reed) can call the defense on the field meaning that the Patriots no huddle did not catch the defense out of position.

Go back and look at the run before the first FG, the Patriots lined up the play after the reverse to Hernandez and tried to quick snap the Ravens, but the whole defense is lined up and ready (Ngata pushed Connolly into Ridley). Compare that to last week when the Patriots got a touchdown by quick snapping the Texans with half of the defense out of position.

It is not just toughness it is leadership on defense this team needs. You can say Lewis's stuff is all an act, but he gets his team fired up and the play all out around. Who leads the Pats D? Mayo? Wilfork? McCourty?
