If the Colts were the ones that lost Super Bowl 42, what would they be saying...

Seriously, the Pats were 18-0. The best team in the league by a mile. And they lost to a 10-6 team. I never heard one excuse from them. Nothing. No throwing under the bus. No griping about the refs. No petitions to "re-emphasize" the in-the-grasp rule.

What if it were the Colts in the same situation? What complaints would we have heard?

    "No griping about the refs."

There was quite a bit of griping about 3 abusive offensive holds and a facemask on Patriots linemen and linebackers on "Eli's Great Escape".  Sports Illustrated included that "no holding was called, though." when referring to it in the SB 42 article, as well.

The Colt's would have never been in that situation cause they don't have the guts to go for an undefeated season

They would say "does holding the ball against your helmet considered clear control of the ball"......or maybe I'm saying that......whatever?....it's all that bridge/water thing now.

I'd bet there was plenty said in house about it, & possibly to the league. The NFL did come out quickly & claim the refs did flawlessly, so read in to that what you will.

Not from the organization. The Pats realize that the griping is best done by the fans and media.
