Man, I was told it was addictive and it IS.....if you pay the $5 you get three additional big boards to use with trades included...it can become a terrible affliction...lol..but what it does do is give you a feel for where certain players are likely to be drafted...do it several times and you see relative values, based on someone's judgement of who ranks where on a "big board", so obviously there are prejudices built into the simulation

Re: I'm hooked on this NFL Draft Sim Game

Site locked up on me and logged me out at the end of the draft.  I was able to hit the back button to look at my selection, but couldn't "End Draft" to get a score.  Personally I think I broke it with this draft.  Did a little wheelin and dealin to get an extra couple early round picks for my 1st, which as turned out to be my favorite thing to do with this simulator.  It worked out well if you ask me.

Round 2 Pick 16 (BALT): Ra'Shede Hageman, DT, Minnesota (A)
    Round 2 Pick 30: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A)
Round 3 Pick 15 (BALT): Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State (A)
Round 3 Pick 29: Telvin Smith, OLB, Florida State (A)
Round 4 Pick 30: Christian Jones, ILB, Florida State (A)
Round 4 Pick 40 (COMP): A.J. McCarron, QB, Alabama (A-)
Round 6 Pick 22: Brandon Thomas, OG, Clemson (C-)
Round 6 Pick 30: Trey Millard, FB, Oklahoma (B+)
Round 7 Pick 29 Michael Sam, DE, Missouri (A)

I'm just as happy with what I managed on offense as defense.  Defense I picked up a big body monster to put next to Wilfork, and he has arguably the highest ceiling if he can put it together of anyone in the draft.  Strengthened our linebacker core.  This scenario would allow Hightower to spot Nink and Jones as a DE, ala his Crimson Tide days.  Sam is the wildcard here and another rusher possibility.  On offense, Jenkins, the TE I might be most excited about and he should be immediate help for Brady.  Hyde, a big bodied, strong, fast, RB who could bury everyone else at the position (Vereen excepted) on the depth chart.  Not to mention the guy has great hands.  And another soft hand big bodied man would be Trey Millard.  Kind of a FB/TE halfbreed and the type of guy BB loves.  And let's not forget Brady's next pupil and clip board holder in McCarron, as well as another bull for the trenches on the O-line.

It's a mind numbing tool...the only bad part is that it's not geared to take into account the true type of players that are usually successful for a particular scheme or team...so after a while, like any competitive person, I find myself going for the perfect score and not the players I want the team to REALLY draft...but with all it's blemishes, it's still a great way to see where the general consensus grades players

My best score was about a week ago. Just under 5900. Calvin Pryor fell to 29. Its actually easier to get a high score if u make no trades and just make the right value pick at each original spot.

I can't do it with a score in mind, as much of the time I disagree with how they have implemented the point system.

I started a draft on that site for the heck of it, and Clowney went 11th and Sammy Watkins went 14th.  Something tells me that site isn't very realistic. Maybe they give free weed to the programmers?
