In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : Yes, rustyperv, backpedal away.  15 mil in dead money for guys who haven't played for theteam in two years.  Give Ellis 4x as much money as any other team was offering.  Three years without being able to win a single playoff game while having a top 5 QB.  The marks of a great GM.

Well, Rustoleum will tell you during that time BB was "rebuilding" the defense. But he said that was complete in training camp last year. Of course then BB made him look like the complete tool he is by signing a slew of FAs on D and booting some high draft picks. And recently he devoted an entire draft to stocking the "rebuilt" D Queenie had been touting. The guy is a clown of the first order and wrong on just about every single issue he tackles.
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : Considering, Brian Waters, Andre Carter and Mark Anderson provided incredible ROI, overpaying for Ellis or Ochocinco don't really matter, especially considering the team actually played in a SB. It's called playing the odds and winning. You wouldn't know this feeling, because you're a born loser and a Jets fan.

Yeah, BB hits and misses. Good point.

In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust:
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : No. It's the budget spent and the hits generated from it. Example: Santonio Holmes, Bart Scott, Anotnio Cromartie, etc, etc, all cost annually well over 20 million dollars per year as FA additions for the Jets. What's the yield?  A Hard Knocks show, no division titles, no AFC titles and just more embarrassment. That's the yield from their approach.  This means someone like Mike Tannenbum is a horrendous GM, while BB is a great one. See? lol BB chooses to set a budget and go after lower profile FAs, so of course he's not going to hit 100% on every FA move.  No GM who uses this approach does.  The approach is not meant to generate a 100% return rate. You and your grampa virgin boyfriend might want to look up the word "average" in the dictionary and try to apply it correctly, because the word "average" does't apply to anything BB does.

That's not what that means at all. What it means is we have Brady and they have Sanchez.

Or are you going to tell us if the jets had Tom and we had Dirty we would still win the division?
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : What "bad" D has ever in NFL history played in a SB.  Please notify us when this happens. NE's was middle of the pack in almost every category in the NFL. NE's D was leaps and bounds better than your own. Causing turnovers, points allowed, sacks, etc. NE's D was much better than yours, yet you're on here joining forces with our troll, Babe Grampa.

Sometimes disparate forces do agree on some things if they are true. Something you wouldn't understand as you make fun of Pats' fans for appreciating the Hall of Fame QB that you constantly slam who just threw for 39 TDs and 5,000 yards.
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : I am wondering if Sanchez would have had a better SB than Brady did. Sad, but true. Truth hurts. We didn't pay 20 million per year to watch Brady fold like Cutler or Romo do. We're still waiting on Tom Brady, the real Tom Brady, to return.  The defense is set and ready to go. Is Tom Brady?
    Posted by BassFishingII
You look even more stupid than usual when you slam Tom for his 100 PR in the SB (minus the last desperate hail mary drive the D forced on him with their failure).

The defense is set? They looked like their feet were set in concrete as Eli went through them like crap through a goose on the last Giants' drive as they let yet another Super Bowl slip away due to an endgame fail.

Without Brady they don't even get to any of the SBs, moron.
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : I don't care if Tom Brady throws for 10,000 yards and 72 TDs next year.  This is what you don't get and why you're a troll here. Not one Pats fan should care about his stats.  The only thing I care about is him being the old Brady in January and February instead of exxpeting to show up and win, almost to the point he looks distracted on Super Bowl Sunday. You're more impressed with stats than rings.  This makes you a pink hat Grampa.

Nonsense you dimwit. Without his production we don't get to any SB so you can slam him for throwing up a 100 PR.

Where the hell would we have gotten last year if our big threat was our 31st ranked D? You really are an idiot.

Here's BB the GM's formula that sets him apart from others:

"Hey coach Belichick, tell Tom to go in and play quarterback".
In Response to Re: In BB WeTrust : Bart Scott has what to do with BB being average?  Backpedal away, rustyperv. Was part of his budget 4 mil for Ellis, 3 mil for Ocho and 10 mil in dead money?  So, three years of zero playoff wins is proof of BB being a great GM but back to back AFC championship games, the first with a rookie HC & QB is proof Mike T is awful?   You just can't make this stuff up.

Oh, I see you adjusted your dead money figure.  Guess I wasn't so dumb after all'.
Do you know that it is rumored that the Jest may have illegally gotten rid of 8M in dead money with a heads-up by Godell on the new CBA.  May have been Woody, but for some reason they knew to dump players early to get maximum benefit.  No other team took advantage of this to the extent the jest did.
Wonder why?  I know it's not because they're smarter than everyone else.
