All very intersting - except for the middle section of post that as always veered into name calling and meaningless drivel that has nothing to do with the topic - but then the same idiots seem to go there on EVERY thread. Oh well.
BB likes to have roster churn so you have to look at guys that haven't broken through that have been here for 3 years. I think even though he is a captain and ST ace, Slater has not been able to contribute anywhere else, so you have to wonder how long he stays. Cole, Deadrick, Cunningham all fall into that category as well. Fletcher and Tarp are in that class as well.
And ... 'specialists' like Aiken and Washington - can someone with a real back-up role elsewhere do an equivalent job at the single skill they provide.
A few folks are thinking that a 'veteran' receiver will be brought in - but Amendola, Jenkins, Jones, and Edelman have been in the league long enough to be classed as vets. I think another vet will not show unless the guys here already prove in preseason to be incapable or we get a string of injuries. Not counting Branch or Stalworth here as they may come to camp just to get the exercise and I don't see them as viable except as emergency players.
Finally - Spikes. Great player, might be interesting trade bait. Not sure I see him being signed as a FA after this year and I am not sure he is essential to the defense.
