Is Belicheck letting his inflated ego hinder the success of the Patriots???

The Saints game was a giant reality check for our Coach and our team !!
This team is not a Super Bowl team...... We have a very ordinary offensive line that is one dimensional....Our Defensive line would be very ordinary defensive line without Vince Wilfolk...Dispite the supossed expensive free agent aquisitions Adalius Thomas & Derrik Burgess the pass rush  is non existant...except for a player we released 2 years before !!.We have a Moron for a Defensive Coordinator and a couple of Coaches including the Offensive Coordinator that never before coached at this level before !! We have yet to sign Vince Wilfolk, by far our best defensive player and we have a corner back starting named Wilhite that couldn't start for the Chinatown Warhawks !!We won't benefit from the Richard Seymour trade for another 2 years !! If Charlie Weis wants to come back to the pros and we fail to grab him I'll know for sure but right
now B.B has to know he needs some knowlegeble help in the Coaching.....He needs experienced succesful asst Coaches like every other Head Coach in the League especially Coordinators !! He does not have the talent, or the experience he had in the Super Bowl years...neither on the field or on the sidelines next to him!!

He doesn't hire coordinators or appoint them because he knows he can't retain them!  He said so himself: he knew that if his teams were successful, he'd never be able to retain his coordinators.  It is what it is.

For what its worth he hasn't been able to hold on to bums like Mangini either so why not go after a proven coordinator. I dont consider McDaniels a bum yet.

The old saying is 2 heads is better than . 3 great minds putting together a gameplan and you got yourself a good foundation. There's talent in New England.. We just havn't been able to expose it.

Imagine what Weis could've made out of Maroney, Watson, and Jackson.... not so sure they're busts as much as we're utilizing them wrong.

ala  Mangini and McDaniels.......The difference he doesnt have to train an experiennced coordinator......If we could pick up Charley Weis which would have an immediate positive impact on the team do you really think he would take off next year ?? I would love to see him grab both Weis and Crenell who also is availble.... I would love to see the old Super Bowl Coaching staff together again...

Wow, a reactionistic post if I have ever saw one.....cry us a river.....

Where do I start picking apart this piece of $h!t of a post?

    1) What dimention is the Pats number 4 ranked scoring defense in the NFL?  You might want to learn up on your football.....

    2) Burgess was an expensive free agent pickup?  Since when?  Last I checked a 2 million dollar signing for 1 year is not expensive....again, check you facts....

    3) Pees has been the D coordinator since 2006 and this is the first time that idiots like you are calling him out.....Where were you in 2006 when the D was #2?  Or in 2007 when we were #4 in D? or last year when we were 8th?  Do you realize that we are ranked 4th on D this year?  Do you know who dumb you sound?

    4) Vince Wilfork, to sign him now without a cap would be a dumb business move....besides we get 2 tags next year.....

    5) Wilhite is better than Hobbs is right now.....

    6) You do know that more than half the season has gone by....that would be less than a year and a half before we get the draft pick from Oak.  Besides, Seymour wouldn't have helped us.....

    7) So by experienced Coordinators you mean that Crenell (who had 1 year (2000 Cleveland) of DC experience before the Pats and Weis (who had 3 years Jets) of OC before coming back to the Pats we experienced?  You do know that both of these guys have worked with Belichick in the past?

Let's be real here this year.

Lets be real here we all know this team is not a Superbowl team now.New defense our QB is just came back. Also without a pass rush QB'S have enough time to do what they want.A good pass rush helps  an averge secondary. We also have not an affective run game. And till we get a sold runner and at least one more WR to open the field up it's easy to see who Brady is going to.Brady was more effective is recent years when teams didn't know who was goig to throw to he has to go back to that and not think about RM OR WW.This year it look at best this team may just have to settle for the division which they can win and at least have a chance in the playoffs.Alot i things can happen to all teams till then injuries being the key.We had 21 total thats alot and most where starters.

Re: Is Belicheck letting his inflated ego hinder the success of the Patriots???

Little Bill Belichick coached as if he was asleep, passing up FGs, going for it on 4th & 4, and pulling the plug and conceding the game instead of playing 60 minutes. Yes, they were down 21 with 5:26 left, but when you have Tom Brady and Randy Moss and 2 timeouts, why give up? I doubt Peyton Manning comes out of the game if the Colts are down 21 with 5:26 to play and two timeouts.

I tend to think Little Bill was afraid if he didn't throw in the towel that the Saints would keep playing full throttle and score 52 on him. And Little Bill only likes it when he's on the giving end of such scores.

    He's a punk.

THE VERY QUESTION IS ASININE.  I don't think he has an inflated ego.  Your other statements are hyperbole and wild speculation.  It was a tough loss, thats all.  Do we need to tweak the team?  I think so.  I would like 2 legitamate receivers NOT named Welker.  And maybe a couple of more physical DBs.  AND the pass rush is dismal.  O.K.  But lets not get carried away.  We were flat, got beat, and they certainly showed us a few things, but we can and will move on, play the next five games, try to win the division, get into the playoffs, and GET BETTER.  Then we will see.  2001 we lost to the Rams in regular season.  Beat them in the SB.  Same kind of thing with the Steelers and Colts in 2003 and 2004.  Im not even gonna talk about 2007.  It was bad, but we move on.
