Is Green Bay the worst field you've ever seen?

Looks like clips from the 1930s when they played in public parks....

It looks bad, but footing looks decent. At least I haven't seen many slips. Worst has to be Pittsburgh or Houston.

Not even close to the "worst ever".

Consider that many cities used to have dual-use (Football and Baseball) stadiums so you would be running over large areas of pure dirt (baseball infield).

Then there were times when football fields were damaged by concert stages or tractor pulls or whatever other form of entertainment took place on Friday or Saturday night.

Then there were the artificial "turf" fields that were nothing more than painted green concrete.

    I love this field.

    Not even close.

Even Foxboro had some horrible conditions when they had natural grass and they shared the field with the soccer team.

The league should mandate artificial turf.

What did you expect of a grass field in Green Bay Wisconsin in the middle of winter?  At least they didn't spray paint it green like some places do.

How about Orange color, really. The Div II bowl game between N. Dakota State and New Hampshire field was Orange. Terrible and lost interest real fast. Thought I lost the color display on the TV. Like playing snooker on a Orange Table - not the same ...

yeah there were some bad fields wernt they. the astro turf was bad on so many levels. first guys would either slip or get their foot caught and blow out their knee. the surace was like you said concrete and guys used to have nasty rug burns all over their arms after a game.  on a hot day in the sun the field was blistering hot and in the cold it froze. glad those days are gone. i think the bills had one of the last of thoseawful fields.
