Re: It seems NE is doing their due diligence........ met with Lance Moore

Adam Caplan of ESPN reported that Moore has met with the Patriots. Released in the great New Orleans roster purge of March 2014, the 30-year-old Moore had 37 receptions for 457 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games in 2013. There does appear to be some positional redundancy with the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder as it relates to the current New England receiving corps, as he’s enjoyed much of his career as a slot receiver. (He ran 52 percent of his routes out of the slot last year, according to Pro Football Focus, and has run at least 35 percent of his snaps from the slot each year for the last three years.) His age will likely limit him to a short-term deal, but he’s only one year removed from going for 1,041 yards, and has shown an ability to produce, with four seasons of 50 catches or more over the course of his career

Where ever he ends up that team will be getting a good receiver and very good lockerroom guy.

Have to agree with Caplan he would be redundant in NE.

He could be one of those "on-call" guys for Belichick in case either Amendola or Edelman can't play.

Yes, looks like that kind of visit, probably the same with Britt. As of now I think the WR corps looks deep, but maybe lacking a bit in the wow-category.

Now is the time to turn focus to the lines, and TE. The consensus seems to be that Browner will be playing SS here, and if so fine. If not, they still need to shore up that position as well as the lines and TE.

OK LaFell plays out of the slot as well, Does anyone here think that BB has a deal in place for Amen Dolla! Lance Moore is an excellent WR, it would behoove Britt to sign knowing Lance is coming in tomorrow.

I think he's a bit better than that and will get a full time gig somewhere. Has had a better career than Sanders, although he's a little older.
