[QUOTE]Yeah ok.  Trading up twice in the first round and drafting a safety that was projected not to even be drafted was brilliant.  The Jets will have a better day today with 6th and 7th round picks than the patsies did on day 1/day 2.  Better hope those rookies can account for 20 sacks this year.

All I can say is WoW!  Jets will be fighting with the dolphins to stay out of last place.  You gotta admit, your Jets have taken a turd this off season.  You can not seriously make fun of the Patriots or their draft after witnessing the demise of the Jets last season and then witnessing the foolish things they have done these past few weeks.  You my friend look like a joke sticking up for your team, especially over here on a Patriots board.  You Jets are a joke and you can not defend that statement!!

No, the Jets are falling victim to poor cap related decisions like signing a below average QB in Mark Sanchez to a huge extension.

I guess it is good that the Jerks fan is optimistic and not pessimistic about the Jerks year after year after year....But he does come across as arrogant for a team that sucks year after year after year

I will use your flawless rationale and make the following statement:

No team has ever won a Superbowl with a QB named Mark Sanchez. Therefore, you guys are screwed forever.

You are right about Sanchez's contract extension: it is largely illusional. They can still bail on him if they need to without too much additional expense. The problem is they made need to get rid of him as they have fostered the seeds for his dismissal with the addition of Tebow and the controversy he will bring. It will be very interesting to see how the dynamic of Sanchez/Tebow is going to play out during the season with Jets fans. I fear the Jets may have set something in motion they cannot control themselves. What is your assessment of the positives/negatives of the potential QB controversy in NY?

Please go away. If we all agree with you that the Jets are a lock to win the Super Bowl, will you accept that as a parting gift? Reason and logic are strained every time you try to compare the Jets to the Patriots.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: It's not even half over : It makes them better.  Tebow is not an NFL caliber QB at this point in his career and there is no chance he becomes the Jets QB, aside from injury and even then it would be unlikely.  Tebow is a very good football player who can help the Jets or virtually any other NFL team with his particular skills.  The Jets got him for a steal and like most other trades by Mike T, it was a very good one.  This kind of manufactured drama is for people that like soap operas more than football.

I think you are underestimating the Tebow effect. It is not as simple as Kyle Orton or Josh using a #1 pick to get him or "manufactured drama". Tebow effected the whole Denver franchise and a lot of NFL coverage was focused on him. He uplifted but also usurped the whole team in Denver. I question if the Jet franchise is stable enough to handle what is going to come with Tebow, especially Mark Sanchez whose confidence is shaky. Sanchez will sink or swim this year, Tebow will make him better or he will kill him. Or another possibility is organizational chaos. We'll see soon enough.

JetMagot has more excuses then a dead horse has flies, more excuses then a pregnant nun, more excuses then the desert has sand, then China has people, then the ocean has fish...(feel free to add to the list) to why the Jets suck and have not won a SB.  Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure!

The Bills will finish 2nd this season... below the Patriots and above the Jets,  Count on that!!  The Jets are done with Rex Ryan as coach, he isn't a head coach material.  His 15 minutes of fame is gone, he is now showing his flaws, his players are out of control, he will be gone within the next 3 years.  The NY Jets are the laughing stock of the NFL, how does that feel JetMagot?

All talk and promises with no delivery will not last long.

The fans and media MADE the Broncos play Tebow last year, can you

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: It's not even half over : nonsense.  It wasn't Sanchez confidence that was shakey.  It was his grip on the ball that was shakey.  Sanchez spent most of the season under great pressure and hurt by Schotts playcalling.  But after winning 4 road playoff games in their first two years, the Jets are not stable because they were not able to replace 1/2 probowlers from 2010 to 2011?  It takes some teams 4 years to replace a couple of good defensive players (the patsies for example) and this is without the strict FA restrictions the Jets had imposed on them.

Rex is the ring master of Woody Johnson's circus. He is a barker who attracts customers with his outrageous claims and baiting. It is only when Woody gets tired of the act and needs to change it up to attract more customers/suckers that Rexie will exit. With the Tebow sideshow joining the act, Rex has more time to entice NY with ridiculous claims. Another year or two is about right for Rex if the team flops.

    First, learn to spell.

Second, salaries increase every year and your statement is idiotic. I'm sure that 20 years ago no team had won a Superbowl with a QB making 5 million... this has obviously changed since. I'm sure that no team had won a Superbowl with a QB making as much as Peyton was when the Colts won, but that did not stop them.

I can tell you one thing though. No team has ever won a Superbowl with a backup QB making $17 million like the Jets will once Tebow takes over.
