One year ago today, August 15, 2008, the man that allowed the Boston community to celebrate the Patriots' Super bowl wins, instead of another city, passed away.

It is not surprising that there is no mention of this man today or most any other day in the Boston press.  No, sadly, this man's kindness to the city of Boston goes unnoticed, is glossed over or is rewritten.

Even more sad, when this man died, the lingering thought he most likely had of Boston and the Patriots was of a scandal linked to the city and the team he kept in its place against his home-town team, the Rams, in the Super bowl no less.

This man was full of class but, sadly, the heroes of Boston are instead people with tainted practices and values named Belichick, Ramirez and Ortiz...
