Jared Allen - Ain't coming here!

Reports have Allen visiting Seattle for the second time.  A sign a contract agreement is looming?  If that is the case, and since we have not heard about Allen visiting Foxboro at all, the dream to have him join the Pats is ovah, it appears.

Oh, well, so much for that possibility.

suprised Seattle would make that move....thought they might stay with the youth movement.

Darn, I thought the Seahawks losing two DL / pass rushers was an underplayed negative for their chances to repeat. Signing  Allen will make them once again a formidible SB opponent. Still think they will have their work cut out for them next year getting there but looks like they will be among the favorites.

Apparently BB was never really interested in him anyway.

Could it be that Allen feels he is still an every down player while BB feels he can be a situational player.  From what I read, Allen is visiting teams that need an every down lineman and his "rep" follows him in spite of age.

That could very well be but you know that BB wouldn't want to pay the kind of money Allen wants for just a situational player.  So, I think you're probably right.  That's what BB's intentions probably were.

Seattle tried to get Melton on the cheap but lost him to Dallas. We'll see if Allen finds the money to his liking.
