I am sure Ponder would rather throw to him over Harvin

Why do you say that?  Harvin is a stud who can be used all over the field.  I like Jennings, but I think he's a bit overrated considering the offense he played in.  Hell, I would put up decent numbers with Rodgers throwing me the ball and having Driver, Finley, Jones, and Cobb lining up with me.

Crazy signing, though.  I'm assuming it won't be taken so well by the Lambeau faithful.

Seems like the Packers FO have been planning for his departure considering the high pick used on Cobb two years ago.  I would have loved to see Cobb catch balls from Brady.  Kid is versatile and electric

They're going to get a 3rd round comp pick next season.

They won't complain. That offense is fine with Jones, Cobb and nelson...that D needs help

And Jennings on Ponder will be similar to Fitz with ARZ QB.

    Re: Jennings to the Vikings

A purely financial move on Jennings' part.

Without anyone else remotely effective in the receiving corps, Jennings will be swallowed whole by most defenses (particularly in the division), assuming Christian Ponder could get the ball to him consistently (he can't).

One would assume Jennings knows all this and is willing to take his lumps in exchange for 18 million guaranteed donuts.

    The good news?

Old friend Matt Cassel is going to steal Ponder's job.

If you look at the contract language he is getting $18 guaranteed and $27 for first 3 years. He will never see his last 2-3 years/$$$$.

wonder if the Pats kicked the tires?

My prediction is that Amendola will be ++more of an impact player in New England than Jennings in Minnesota.

I also feel Harvin is >> than Jennings, but seemed to just have a poor attitude there. Harvin was having a spectacular year last year before getting injured and I don't see Jennings doing as well away from Rodgers. Not to say Jennings isn't talented, I just don't feel he is worth more than Amendola away from Green Bay
