Jimmy Graham and the two TE set in New England.

Before you all call me as a moron who should stick to Madden GM mode instead of worrying about how Belichick does business you should hear me out.

We're all assuming that The Saints will most likely tag Graham over locking him up long term, but I believe that, under the new CBA, you can only franchise a guy once. That means that Jimmy is free to hit the market in the 2015 FA class where Hernandez's contract is set to come off the books and the Pats will have close to 40 million in spending cash.

Can anyone see Graham in New England? I know I just made a thread calling Graham overrated, but as a move TE next to Gronk, he'll kill it. As far as blocking goes, if BB got Talib to tackle, he can make Jimmy block.

    Thoughts?

I'd like to borrow him for the game this week

Pats will not enter into a bidding war for any player. THey have a value they place on a player and that is as far as they go. Someone will fork up more. And let them.

In the meantime BB will upgrade the interior of the O line, get anotehr solid TE to both pair with and back up Gronk for when we need a TE, and will get our DT situation in hand... and perhaps upgrade SS.

Cant do NEXT MAN UP if all the money is in 10 of the 53 players.

The Pats have had an amazing record with getting solid TEs, I'd much rather they try to rebuild the TEs through the draft rather then getting a guy like Graham.

I'm in the "overrated" camp.  therefore some jackazs team will over spend for him.

Doesn't the dead money for hernandez enter this decision...?

When the Pats cut him, his contract was condensced into two seasons.

Good player but he's no Gronk. Too pricey for BB.

I would rather have a healthy Gronk and any of 3 tightends in the 1st round next year.  Don't get me wrong, Graham is the real deal and would be an even bigger monster next to Gronk.  But I don't want that kind of money tied up on TE's if it doesn't need to be, and there are some VERY good TE's available in this years draft.
