    JINTS BRING BACK MARIO!

Good move-finally healthy and he is excited to be back, raring to go...solid WR who had good report with Eli.

I started this thread because I know Pats fans remember Mario

He's not the same player he once was.  His best season was 2010.  If he produces at even half that level, it'll be a win for the Giants.

He is good as one of a group (of 3 or 4). If the Giants have at least 2 other solid targets (complementary skills) then this is not a bad move for them - assuming he has not lost anything.

If he ends up one of only two reasonable targets then I am not so sure he has any real impact for them.

really Nostrodamus? The thing that stopped Giants last two years was mostly themselves and decimation by injuries not lack of talent...so far very satisfied with off season with draft still to come...if Jints stay healthy and keep heads on straight we will see how "irrelevant" they are...of course they don't get to play in the AFC East or the very average at best AFC conference but we Jints fans embrace challenge!

agree although remember in 2011 he accepted the 3rd WR role like a pro and that is why his numbers were down bit he had a solid year and got his well deserved moment at the best time

It's a decent signing but just like the Pats have work to do not catching the Broncos but the Seahawks, the Seahawks have passed the Giants by as well.

Giants aren't irrelevant but the best teams in the NFC are now a lot better than them.

Mario doesn't do much about that, except for nostalgia buffs

Yeah, tough to win consistently when your overrated QB throws (42) INT's the past two seasons... not to mention playing in the dominant NFC East... which has been far superior to the AFC East the past (2) seasons.

The Giants  have  basically been a .500 team the last 5 years.  Yeah they won a SB, but only because they managed to put it together at the end of the season and make the playoffs because they play in a garbage division that you can win with 9 wins.

Here is the list of the teams the Giants beat last season:

    Vikings

    Eagles (without Foles)

    Raiders

    Packers (without Rodgers)

    Washington 2x

    Detroit

    That's a real murderer's row right there.

not by himself but I am very satisfied with their off season moves so far-very satisfied...and with a solid draft...

speaking of qbs while the Giants have to face Romo RG 3 and Foles/Vick Pats get to face...well whoever played QB for those other three inept franchises...in the last dozen years have the Bills Dolphins and Jets managed to start 3 professional qbs...combined??

The Giants against playoff teams from last season were outscored 226-107.  If you only count games against playoff teams that weren't missing their starting QBs they were outscored 206-65.  That's the mark of a great team right there.  LMAO.

We should care why?  Giants will need a complete team rebuild to even think about going to a NFC Championship this year.  Not even sure why they are really spending money to try, lol!

Giants have improved (Thurmund, DRC) and play in a crapshoot of a division with the always 8-8 Cowboys, up and down SKins and Eagles. they could easily win the division this year at 9-7
