    So instead of forcing the other team to take the ball 75 yards (average starting position) you would take a much lower % chance of recovering an onside kick potentially giving the other team only 50 or so yards to drive? You know that's the same as saying why didn't teams kick onside with the old rules and only go 15 yards to get a FG. Sigh, really?

    i don't think even Sean payton would try this. that's all you need a ball bouncing in the wrong direction and the game is over.

    i see a revision to this new overtime rule.

    the only place sudden death really works is in hockey
