These are mostly fringe players. I am not following along your word battle fully but are you seriously trying to insinuate there is lack of continuity because of managing the roster with fringe players or through injuries and suspensions?

Please tell me you are not. That would be a horrendous argument to make.

    No, IQ.

That is only a partial list, from 10/31 onwards.  I posted the full list for the proceding months dating bach to the start of FA.

It clearly shows many failed aqusitions of depth players and starters that failed.  They had 13 recievers to start camp, basically to replace other failed recievers from the procedeing years and not one of them stuck.  Branch was cut 3 times and re-signed due to necessity and the 10 other recievers that failed.  They kept LLoyd but was he really the answer?  My feeling is that he will be cut, maybe this year.

The fact is, that because of poor recent drafting and FA pick-ups, there are many holes to fill.  There would be no need to put 150 guys through camp (not all fringe type) if needs had been met.  Yes, I know some are fodder but that doesn't dismiss not being able to pick up a decent reciever or a whole defensive backfield or someone (any one) that can rush a passer, in the past 6 years and not have all said players replaced the following year.

    ok.

I was going to say the QB, RB's, TE's, entire O line, your two primary WR's were all on the team two years or more and the other WR played in the identical offensive system so although he was new, the system was not knew to him.

That is a ton of consistency.

On the D side. You had two 2 of the 3 LB's returning(really all 3 but one moved to DE), The entire interrior D-line. Neither defensive end but one fomr the team because he moved to DE from LB, 2 of the 4/5 starting DB's returning. They drafted a DE in the 1st round to replace an injured and aging DE from last season, who WAS a successful FA pickup. The LB that was moved to DE(Nink) also replaced a successful FA pickup of last year. Another 1st rounder was used to replace the LB spot vacated by the move of Nink to DE.

There is some position movement within the D but still a lot of consitency in personell.

The Pats have also tried moves they haven't been able to pull off such as going after Goldson to adress the safety position but not being able to land him. ...or going after Reggie Wayne. Seems they identified the right talent but could not land them. Do we kill them for not paying whatever it took to get them to come or praise them for not getting themselves in finacial trouble? Do we praise them for correctly identifying guys who can clearly play even though they could not sign them? I have no answers to those questions but at least they give a more complete picture.

Like I said I did not know the whole story with your fued so if out of context, my bad.

Those receivers signed vet min deals and weren't good enough to make it out of camp!  Edelman beating out Stallworth or Gaffney is a GOOD THING, you idiot!

Lloyd had a very good year!  BB picked him up! 74 receptions, 4 TDs and almost 1000 yards ain't gaudy enough for ya, huh Pezzy?!!  I'd say that's pretty good considering he's not even in the Brady Binky Club.  You want Brady to have 5 All Pro WRs to run empty set spreads, try to hit 60 TDs and throw 70 times per game at this point, don't ya?  Yeah, you do, you sick little pink hat.

Nink can rush the passer, as can Jones and even Justiin Francis looked good in a smaller role doing it.

    Liar!

Lloyd didn't do what they needed.  Teams were more than happy to let him catch his 5 yrd passes and fall out of bounds or on the ground as he caught it,  It never stopped anyone from crowding the box and that was the purpose.  His YAC was atrocious.  Also not good on a team that thrives on short passes and YAC.

Not saying he's sux but certainly not great.  Awful completion % too.

Francis?  Wow, this is the pass rusher we've been waiting for....for years,  Who else in that role hasn't been replaced yearly?   Hmm  PALEASE!

    Was that a joke?

Poor picks & poor Fa's & Filene's bargain basement players = fail.  No doubt about it.

Awful compl%? Now he's the QB, too?  Do you even know what sport your commenting on here?

Who cares what his YAC is?  We have no issue moving the sticks (for the most part) with Welker, Hernandez, Gronk, a 1500 yard RB.

Don't expect to see many WRs come in here with Brady in a shotgun and to see domination from perimeter. You need to get 2007 and Moss out of your head. You can tell that's when you started watching this team. lol

    2007. My god.

We have a new fan talking to us now about compl% from a WR.  Wow.

Chandler Jones looked fantastic as a rookie until an ankle injury. You're now mocking this great selection by BB?

You don't know what a completion % for a reciever is?

Here's a hint 55% is not good.   That means he only caught 55% of what was thrown to him.

If you have a QB completing 65% of his passes and a reciever only catching 55% of his passes, that is NOT GOOD!  Especially when the vast majority of them were in the 5-8 yrd range where he should be catching 75% of them,

Just imagine if he had caught 20% more passes.  That would be good!

    Too complicated for you?

So, Brady, with his poor year with accuracy on balls over yards is to be blamed on Brandon Lloyd? Gee, isn't that convenient for you as you yet again put it more on everyone but Brady himself.

What is your explanation for why the ball was to welker's wrong shoulder and high, in the SB? Gee, that's a ball that would have for a great catch, but it was a weak throw by Brady.

Lloyd made numerous GREAT catches around the sideline and balls that had no business being caught, too.

I'd say 74 receptions, 4 TDs and 1000 yards, knowing it should have been more if Brady was a better QB, instead obsessing over targeting Welker, Gronk/Hern, almost exclusively, is pretty darn good for his first year here.

There's always an excuse when a player actually performs well, where you look for one non-great aspect, and you act like it's so horrendous. Oh no!  Lloyd didn't have a strong YAC!   Cut him now!

Brandon Lloyd is not Wes Welker and Welker is not Brand Lloyd. Maybe if Brady set up play action in more games this year, Lloyd would have more YAC? lol

"Just imagine" if Brady didn't have so many high, low or late throws like he's been having as he ignores the perimeter of the field during most games.  I am imaginging it, and it's 2004.  Will that Brady return?

You're too dumb to realize his Welker/Gronk/Hernandez targets are EASIER completions, which is why he's been lazy not targeting the perimeter in these last few years. It's called being spoiled to be able to make quick, easy passes to guys who can't open very quickly where Brady doesn't have to turn his head side, to side on his first 3 reads on 90% of the passing plays he calls.

    Ouch.

    Truths like that hurt you.

Oh jeez rusty, here let me help you...first stop talking about Brady (and qb's in general) because you just don't/can't comprehend it. Second...have you ever given any thought to perhaps changing sports? Maybe you can go on over to baseball - I imagine you would love talking about strike zones and on base percentages. Third...rent Wall Street or something - you love the business world - you can pretend you're Gordon Gekko...that way you can invent "salary cap hell" situations and find neat ways to manage and or get out of it. You can pretend it's like Clue or Candyland...it was the cornerback in the dinning room...he forgot to turn his head and accidently fell into the victim, but he was 37 and only cost us minimal cap space. It's AOK!!

Let me get this straight - Brady doesn't throw outside the numbers...doesn't look off safeties...doesn't go through his progressions and lacks accuracy? Do I got everything?

And I really love how you call him spoiled and lazy for taking the quick high percentage passes, instead of going to the perimeter or deep....for the love of god!! This is what you claim YOU want him to do!! You have been saying for 5 years how he needs to stop trying to go deep and take the safer, higher percentage plays. You slammed him for even trying to play like the offense did in 07 - now you want him airing it out and taking risks?? You make zero sense at all and watching you get schooled on here daily is a joy to see:)

I just said that Bradys completion % was higher than lloyds reception %.  I guess it is too hard for you to understand if a reciever is catching less than the QB is completing, it's probably not the QB. He completes a higher % to the others.  DUH

In fact, I would say Lloyd is the reason for Brady's completions dropping some.  DOH!

^^^Folks, this is what it looks like when someone with severe mental illness becomes unglued and goes into a more serious state of the disease.

One has to assume he's a teenager. In which case he's just acting like...well..a teenager.

If not, then it's sad to witness someone lose all self-respect and pride. That's never a good thing regardless of context.

I wanted to give him some benefit of the doubt. Sigh.

That picture is both funny and disturbing.

Off topic I see the Bruins on tonight. I was supposed to be at that game but my son came down with the flu so gave the tickets away.

    The Bruins look solid.

    The Jets...unfortunately, not so much.
