Resentment returning to Jets locker room

These are strange days for Gang Green, who haven't been able to string wins together in 2013. The Jets locker room is at a delicate juncture in the season. The offense's struggles could easily lead to some resentment from the defense, something we've seen to differing degrees in each of the last two seasons. The new book "Collision Low Crossers" that documents the 2011 Jets season shows just how much tension there was between the two units with the defense feeling it was doing its job but getting no help from the other side of the ball. A similar feeling existed last year with the tension becoming evident after the team lost to the Titans in December when Antonio Cromartie shouted he wouldn't talk to reporters because he did not want to tell the truth. Now, the Jets are in similar territory.

Quag, all the more to admire the way the Patriots handle themselves.

Granted, we may not know what exactly happens behind closed doors with the Patriots, but, the outside persona is all "team".  I am certain frustration builds in Brady when he gets the team into the lead and he sits on the bench seeing the D give up 3rd down after 3rd down to the opponent and the lead is lost.  Yet, does he say anything publicly other than something to this effect: " I need to play better and make plays, we all do." without pointing fingers?

No, only up 16 spots this week.  Amazing recovery from those preseason rankings all of the brilliant folks here quoted over and over again.  Still, only 11 teams in the NFL have a better record.  With their cap hell, all those new starters, new coaching staff etc, clearly a team on the rise.

Yup, they will give each member of the jets little trophies for your "amazing recovery from those preseason rankings" woody johnson can add to all those trophies your team has won since 1969. Please keep us updated every week. Perhaps if they get in the top ten they might get a bigger trophy.

then what fun would be rivals?  I was in tenn the last few days and what I heard about the "non call" was " I'm glad anytime the pats lose".  " I like your owner"  " I hate Brady but wish he played for us"   So " winner hate" is every where.  What's wrong with a little " loser hate" back?

The Jets do 1 positive story this year: QB Matt Simms. Matt was undrafted last year and made the preseason roster on a tryout. His college career was completely unspectacular but he got the tryout because he is Phil's son. Anyway, he suc*ed was cut at the end of August.

He worked hard in the off season, did it all on his own without Dad's help and made the normal season roster this year, beating out McElroy for the job. He has looked good in his 2 late game appearances with 1TD, no Interceptions and 97 QB rating. It's good to see someone work hard and get somewhere, no matter team he is from.
