Projected top targets: Jonathan Casillas (Saints), Brandon Siler (Chiefs), Tracy White (Patriots)
prefer Casilas myself......25yrs old...
Siler is 27
and I think it said White is 30 or 31 (downside)
Linebacker position according to Reiss............if we were to target.

slim pickings huh? I like B.Siler but not sure what the article is saying. If this is just depth and our 4th or 5th backer I say keep White since he knows the system

Depth....but they have to be good at special teams.
in the article Siler was thought as good depth behind Spikes

I would agree with that. He could also play a bit in our base scheme based on what ive seen from compared to our backups. Siler played some good ball in KC. Not sure who Casillios is...

If it was just depth I'd prefer White. Already knows the system and is a very good STer. Besides if Fletcher is healthy he's Spikes backup and I'd like to see what Vega can provide as the 5th/6th LB

Of these, Siler has one clear edge in New England. Casilias played for a winner and will get a winner's paycheck, somewhere else. Siler played for a pretty horrid team and might work relatively cheap. Think Building 19.
Also, Siler played for Romeo Crennel and so he possibly knows the Patriots' system.

this is what Im thinking also. As we know , a lot of players come here to be depth but end up starting because they are better than players here already. I think Siler would challenge for p/t here

only problem is White's age.. trying to get this defense faster and younger on the fly..it is just one position though Reiss was looking at.....

A thread on LBs and no mention of Urlacher? Granted it's unlikely and I guess we're more or less good in the middle, but the guy can still play.
