    Look on the bright side

The bright side is that we rented a star player for three years.  Now the lease is up and we have to get someone else.

I looked at the summary of evidence in today's article.  This guy is so brain-dead how did ever manage to learn the playbook?  If there were a death penalty, he woulde fry (and should).

Top it all off; this guy betrayed his owner Bob Kraft. Prison is an ideal place for him. And yeah this going to get very ugly.

We all should be giddy with excitement knowing BB recent history of bringing in exceptionally talented outside the numbers type WR.

I heard on ESPN this AM that the Pats were ranked 2nd in rushing in the entire NFL last year. Numbers don't lie.

Yeah, Givens, Branch, Patten, Moss, Lloyd. Just terrible.  We all should be giddy this forces Brady to stop staring down All Pro types who are only effective in the shotgun and from 10 yards and under in the middle of the field.

Learn the game. Also, get better tastes in movies.

Lloyd?? your Guru let him walk after one year (strike 1).  Givens, Branch and Patten were all failures without Brady making them look good.  That's common knowledge (strike 2).  Moss, yeah that ended well with your Guru shipping his azz out of town 4 games into a season (strike 3)......your out clown.  Keep trying to wash BB.

That is in terms of total number of carries. They also ran the most plays total of any team. They were middle of the pack (14th at 42%) in terms of percentage of rushing plays.

Hernandez went unclaimed after the Pats released him, and is still available as a free agent, in case part-timer wants to advocate to re-sign him.Wink

The bright side is we are no longer talking about a 3rd string QB on the team. Just think it only took murder.

rental? BBand Kraft not only paid Hern million in bonus money that cant be recovered, he counts $4.5 this year and $7.5 next year against the cap... some one is dead. a young plyers career is in shambles and faces life in prison. he hurt his team with his actions, and his team mates as well there is no bright side, Rusty's trolling comment included...

THey already budgeted for the 4.5 this year, though. That was being budgeted for the second he singed his deal last year. Sure, his presence in potential gameplans is a loss, but it's not as disastrous (obviously) as you try to spin.

The key will be the cheaper, younger WRs we have in here now or what they do in FA (with the flat cap next year) in FA or a draft pick at WR next year, in order to offset the 7.5 mil in dead money next year.

After that, they'll void the deal for 2015 and beyond and will be fine. The cap should be raised in 2015, too.

It's funny how dramatic you are with our cap, but you downplay the disastrous cap position of the team you praised here for years now, the Jets.

Mark Sanchez, if cut, would have cost 8.25 million this year. But, they'll choose to play him as a lame duck QB this year and start all over again next year with Geno Smith at the helm. lol

The fact is, NE is so well managed by comparison to many teams, something as bad as this Hernandez situation, doesn't register as the disaster you are trying to spin it as.

7.5 million in dead money? I thought you told us all we were getting that back? What changed? Did I miss something?
