Looking for the link now but news report I read on twitter a bit ago indicated that the gun found near the body was determined to not be the murder weapon.  If I can resurrect the link I'll post it.

This situation is a total mess.

My prediction on Hernandez is that if he is not determined to be innocent within the next few days, we will not be seeing him this season. And him being innocent is looking more and more less likely...murder weapon was found, dead body less than a mile from his house, not cooporating, judge determined his house needed to be searched within hours of discovering the body, prior history of drug use, prior history of gang affiliation, evidence being removed from his home, guests of his being detained and now this ridicolous story down in Miami.

I would feel a lot more confident if he had opened his doors and said to the police "come on in, I have nothing to hide...let me help YOU guys find out who did this to my friend". And maybe in a couple of days the lead investigator will hold a press conference stating that Hernandez has been cleared of any wrong doing in this investigation and has been a big help, but I doubt it now.

Umm, do you ever do your homework?  There was video yesterday of the police coming in and out of his house. He's been co-operating, absolutely.

If the police knocked on your door because someone you know was murdered and asked to search your house, wouldn't you call your lawyer or ask to see a search warrant? I would.  Any knowledgeable citizen would. Since that knock on the door yesterday, he's been co-operating.  "Not co-operating" may simply be asking to see a search warrant or asking why the police want to enter your home. Pretty simple.

They've taken home surveillance footage and whatever else to study it so they can probably eliminate him as a suspect, if they can. If they find something, then they won't eliminate him as a suspect. RIght now, the police have stated he's not a lead suspect.

The story down in Miami sounds ridiculous because it it is ridiculous. DO you see any other news outlet corroborating it? NO.

Smoking weed in college means you are a murderer, execution style? Really?

This is the part where I usually embarrass you as a cake baker, so I'll stop now and leave you with the REAL report that isn't as hot as the local WBZ one which is clearly using opportunities to mislead the public. Here is the real report:

Are you this dumb? Seriously? I'm serious.

A associate of his was found dead in a car that was rented under his name less than a mile from his home! That very sentence right there has more damaging scenerios in it than people that are facing jail time. This is ridicolous.

Why wouldn't Hernandez let police in if he had nothing to do with this? Unless he had drugs, guns or damaging evidence in that house. It's not like the cops are going to throw him in jail because the laundry wasn't done or his porn collection was left out. You probably think the police were going to plant evidence in his house, don't you? LMAO!! Yeah...1950's gangster style!

Hey I hope he is 100% innocent and this all was some wild coincidence, but come on. I mean there was a dead body a mile away from his home...no one reported him missing? And then there were two guys just chilling at Hernandez's home on a Tuesday night? Hernandez has a infant at home - do you find it normal to have a baby with you while two guys hang out while their friend is decomposing 700 yards away?

This whole thing is not going to end well and it's awful.

Sorry Rusty, but you're being pretty delusional on this one.  mthurl is right, things aren't looking good at all for Hernandez.  I really don't know what to make of his role, if he has one, in the homicide, but I do know that he is way too involved already for the Patriot's liking, or Goodell's for that matter.  The wild Miami story would really be devastating if it ends up being even remotely true, and they are reporting it now on ESPN Radio, NFL.com, etc...  I hate to see it happen to such a good player, but I really think AH could be looking at a very lengthy suspension at the very least, and possibly some jail time if things shake out as badly as they look like they could.  Either way, how much is too much for the Patriots to deal with?  I've seen them cut knuckle-heads for a heckuva lot less than this...

Jail time for going on line and paying for a friend to rent a van? Seriously? What is the charge there? Seriously. Tell me what the charge is.  They would need proof he was setting up Lloyd or that Hernandez was the murderer.

I am sorry, but here is a guy rehabbing a shoulder surgery with a new baby, crying in Kraft's office with this new deal and about to get married and he's renting van's in his name, channeling Tony Soprano (RIP) on the side?  lol

    You call me delusional?

If Hernandez is in any way involved in this, I will be the first to admit I was wrong, but I will also be shocked, because it really doesn't make sense if your goal is to kill someone and then get away with it with how this appears. It's just very odd. It's like the complete opposite of what you would do if you were planning on murdering someone.

If the worst is Hernandez being naive that Lloyd is involved in something and Hernandez didn't know what it was, trying to help an acquaintance who had no money, no credit, no credit card, etc, then I am pretty sure Bob Kraft and BB aren't looking at that as a thing to cut ties, but to show it as a learning experience in life.

So what is Aaron's involvement in all this? Maybe nothing, but it smells from so many angles.

Report: Evidence puts Hernandez with dead “associate” on evening of murder

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/19/report-evidence-puts-hernandez-with-dead-associate-on-evening-of-murder/

    It’s apparently unfolding.

The victim has officially been identified as 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, and his death has been ruled a homicide.  According to FOX 25 in Boston, police have determined that four men — including Hernandez and Odin Lloyd — were in a vehicle together after leaving a bar, and that only three of the men returned to Hernandez’s home.

Per the report, and supplemented by tweets from Ted Daniel of FOX 25, forensic evidence collected by police places a vehicle “driven by” Hernandez at the “crime scene.”  It’s unclear whether the crime scene was the location where Lloyd’s body was found, or whether the crime (i.e., the site of Lloyd’s murder) occurred elsewhere.

FOX 25 also reports that Lloyd sent a text to a friend referring to Hernandez.

Im starting to think TMZ is another "enquirer" type site because how is that not news anywhere else when it supposedly happened in February???

"Take care of my B*tch, I may need her back in a couple years"

Brady to Manning after Wes signed with Denver

No reporting to the POElice...only a civil suit....something wrong with this...guy wanted $100K, claims he was shot in the arm and it went into his eye "blowing it out"...claims they are friends who got into a fight at what appears to be a strip joint, got into the same car and BLAM....Crazy...

Anyone with half a brain can read right through that TMZ story as completely fabricated. There is no way in the world of the media making money off of stupid athletes, whether they faht in church or blow someone's eye out in a car like it's a scene from Jackie Brown or something, can pay off that person for only 100K when you know what Hernandez makes. No way.

The person would also be at the hospital, being treated for a gun shot and the police would be notified. Based on the gunshot wound, they would determine he was in fact shot by someone else, so even if his "friend" or "associate" claimed it was self inflicted for only 100K and only one eye left, the police would be all over it.

It makes absolutely no sense when you know that kind of a high profile TE like Hernandez, on the Pats, etc, wouldn't have been a HUGE story back in February.

Reads like a total plant job by TMZ for hits.  That's it.

How did they know only 3 returned to Hernandez's house? Were there videos from security cameras?

Obviously you don't want this to be true for a number of reasons, but it sounds like if he didn't pull the trigger he was right in the middle of it.  I don't think it's jumping the gun to suggest that the police showing up on his door step wasn't the first he's heard of this - especially if the "4 leave 3 return" story is true.

This is the explanation released by Tommy Flanagan, Hernandez's lawyer, tonight  to clarify the "4 men leave, 3 men return" allegation  : Oden Llyod was getting car sick, so they let him off at the open field, where he was attacked and killed by some yet to be identified muggers.

I suggest that they release OJ from jail, so he can go hunt down the real killers.

Re: Looks like we may be losing Hernandez, homicide investigation aside...

    In response to nomadfan's comment:

This is the explanation released by Tommy Flanagan, Hernandez's lawyer, tonight  to clarify the "4 men leave, 3 men return" allegation  : Oden Llyod was getting car sick, so they let him off at the open field, where he was attacked and killed by some yet to be identified muggers.

I suggest that they release OJ from jail, so he can go hunt down the real killers.

It has been reported that there are surveillance cameras where the body was found and also that there are surveillance cameras around AH area so they should be able to id who and what happened.  Apparently that has not happened yet.

Has Hernandez even been formally interviewed yet?  I'm not so sure he has, I have not heard or read anything about him being formally interviewed.  I would assume if you are a suspect that this would have happened already.  Matter of fact, even if he wasn't a suspect and was just a person of interest that this would have happened by now.  Again, I haven't heard or read that that has happened at this point.  So that being the case you have to really wonder if AHern is as involved as the media says he is.

This sounds troubling. No hard evidence yet, but if it's true, I'd imagine that Aaron will be spending some time away from the team.

The alleged shooting happened in Riviera Beach, which is nowhere near Miami. It is however quite the sh*thole city. There's nothing redeeming about it at all. In the state crime index of Florida, 100 being the safest, the state gave it a 2. You've got to be an idiot to hang out there, or have a death wish.
