Can't make the case for him right now.  I'm really pissed off that he managed to play himself out of this gme when we needed weapons on offense.  What is wrong with him ?!?!?

I don't think speaking up for Ridley is a shot at Vareen or vice versa....IMO Ridley ran very well, 5.1 avg and a couple of first downs. He had a slip and the ground knocked the ball out of his hands. He must, and will clean that up. The team will need him. I think he still has a big season, as does Vareen, and ditto Bolden.

I said earlier that I expect if/when the RB's are healthy, Blount is the odd man out. I did not think he showed much today

Agreed, with the exception of your comments on Blount. I think Ridley, Vereen, and perhaps Bolden are better players, but Blount has something to offer to this team. He started slow, but had a handful of impressive runs in the second half. He showed some 'pop' and hit a few guys.

I think he hurt his shoulder on the second fumble.  I also think there was something with the field. It didnt look like anyone could cut hard with out slipping or falling.  First game.  Anything can happen. Heck the jests won

Now you got the easy part done telling me about it.

Does that handshaped bruise on your back hurt?

I made my case in the Game Thread.   His new role is to carry Vereen's helmet to/from the practice field for the next few weeks.  Nothing else.

If he can do that without dropping it we can consider him for mop up duty in blowouts by mid-season.

Over reaction! The dude got the point, he needs to fix it. AP fumbles as well. Perhaps he should be

    benched as well.

ridley was having a very good game until that fluke play. glad to see vereen come in and show he is capable of handling the work load. NE has a very nice 1-2 punch with vereen and ridley.. i don't really care what all the negative nancy's have to say.

If you call putting the ball on the ground twice good, then I guess you're right. His first fumble was booted by the officials - really bad call - that ball was out but Connelly recovered it anyway.

Ridley's moving toward finding out that backs that fumble a lot don't have long careers.

If Eddie Lacy fumbles the ball six times in the next 4 games, then he'll probably be grabbing some pine too

I don't think it's an over-reaction.  If they had no alternative to using Ridley that would be one thing.   Vereen was a stud.  No reason for Vereen to come off the field except for a quick rest.

Ridley needs to fix it.   The first drop was pretty bad and the 2nd was awful.

Ridley can't play as long as he has fumblitis...period...if he gets back in and fumbles, he comes out...turnovers kill you no matter what team it is...Ridley hurt them today, badly...it can't be allowed to happen.

I am ok with him stating but they will need both guys for sure. The wr is too weak. Riddley is still a very good back tht needs to work hard at fixing this. Others have had this issue and fixed it. Lets hope BB gives him the chance.

I thought I covered Ridley and his fumble issues during the off season when I was calling for a featured back.  Some people thought my argument was out of line.  I like Ridley, love the way he runs, wish he would work out but it doesn't look good.  Not sure he could be used as trade bait, lol!

He could be cut, so much talent and yet, he cant hold the ball. I want him to be our feature back, but BB won't start a fumbling back.

New England deserves a better class Slot Reciever, so I'm going to give it to them. I am the Patriots very own Amendment.

    Fluke play? Nobody touched him!

Most pathetic thing I've seen since Pass dropped the ball to grab his hamstring.

And he fumbled the ball earlier as well. The guy is a f'n disaster waiting to happen.

exactly, he slipped, nobody touched him... hence, a fluke play. it was unfortunate, but he's a very good running back and if you think he won't see the field again then be prepared for your hatred meter to shoot up even higher.

The heck is that in your thumbnail?
