Get off Maroney's back. The guy has disappointed due to injuries. But, he's still only 24 years old. When healthy, he's played well. Go back if you would and watch replays of some of his performances when he's been healthy...like in the 2007 AFC playoffs, and throughout the 2007 regular season. I predict he'll have a solid year in 2009.

    Tex,

People get caught up in fantasy statistics, using them as a measuring stick for success.  The only stat that matters is "wins" in the column on the left. If Maroney's stats barely reach a thousand yards because he is splitting time with our other really good runningbacks like Morris and Taylor than who cares?  As long as we are averaging close to 5 yards a carry as a team and our backs are healthy for the playoffs than our running game is a success.

Probably the best depth we have ever had at the RB position maybe at the TE position as well come to think of it, Oh wait WR and O-Line depth might be the best we have ever had as well, maybe this guy Belicheck knows what he is doing and pats fans can stop second guessing him!

    Re: Maroney

Wozzy is right, too many people expect real football to be like fantasy football and thats not the way it works. The Pats are not all about the stats they are about winning and Maroney has helped them win ball games so i doubt anyone on this team cares what his stats look like. The reason we were able to rush for over 2000 yards last season as a unit is because no one player cares about his stats all they care about is how they do as a unit and as a unit we are very good.
