Who really cares about the media opinions and the had wringing that goes on with these talking heads.  All I care about as a Pats fan is when will Gronk be back and, most importantly, FULLY healthy to play!

Right. But, what I am pointing out here is how dangerous this is with even non-sports reporting.

It could be politics, world news, etc.
Agreed.  Imagine if a goverment reported intentionally inaccurate information like blaming a terrorist attack on a youtube video or blaming intentional political target on a few rogue IRS agents.  Could be very dangerous.

In a way you could say ESPN is helping us out because now no one knows for sure if Gronks in or out.  Give Sean Payton a good unknown to deal with.

Gronk will practice today and not be limited and then be checked out by Andrews, correct?

ESPN trying to create drama and framing Gronk's status on Sunday is a done deal is ESPN doing their anti-BB routine to create drama and a slew of hits on their Friday Pats based column. That's all it is, IMO.

Note how it's ESPN and not the Globe, Herald any of the Pats.com guys, etc.

If you read the report, there is nothing in there that says Andrews left town last night and it''s a done deal.

No, apprarently you can't.  You made no point there.  In fact, I'm not sure I've ever seen one from you.  You just cry about anti patsie/ anti BB bias, just like now.  They reported the facts.  If Gronk was ready to go now, he'd be cleared already.
That's not true, though. He was cleared for Week 3 by the team.  Then he backed out again for Week 4 with his camp saying "Nope, week 6 ".

Well, here is Week. And then it's a "let's bring in a mediator Dr James Andrews".

So, when was Andrews coming in?  Monday? Tuesday? Or, when Gronk would not be limited in your simulated gameplan and scripte drives in practice on Friday when he wouldn't be limited for the first time this fall?

See, I am just lot smarter than you, so it only appears like I don't make strong points to dopes like you.

The only reason why he's been "limited" in practice for 6 weeks with no red no-contact jersey on was out of his respect for his apparent mental fears.  Otherwise, if he was truly limited and they had a fear of contact, he would have been in a red no-contact jersey all 6 weeks of practices and not practicing with the 1s which has been corrborated by Zolak.

Your original point was about ESPN. I don't buy the anti-BB stuff too much, though Bristol is not a hot bed of Patriots fans so there may be a bit of that.

Your point about stirring crud for ratings, however, is spot on and that's the real motivation going on here with Gronk. 100 percent correct. In many cases, ruthlessly accurate reporting would reduce page views and quell controversies - the opposite of what ESPN wants.

Your larger point, that when it comes to world events the same issues are in play with more dangerous consequencs, is 100 percent right also. It wasn't what you said originally but it's definitely spot on - a bit out of the scope of the Pats forum but I like it when you go off topic so... :)

Reality TV has taken the Realism out of the programming we watch.

First it was MTV they use to braodcast Music Videos remember that, then they discovered Reality TV brought in more viewers so they scripted reality shows.

Then CNN and FOX News followed suit and stopped broadcasting news and all you get is one sided finger pointers shouting at each other.  It's like watching Crossfire 24/7 or a Saturday Night Live skit.  Jane You Ignorant SL()t

If you don't like ESPN don't watch them, go to COMCAST or NESN and watch the New England Pundits they have their agenda as well but at least they are closer to the story.

Oh and Gronk will not play on Sunday his people are saying his arm is not stable whatever that means.  If BB says, "he's day to day" and "he practiced" that does not mean he's is cleared to play...LoL

The Pats doctor, Thomas Gill has cleared him, dummy. This is a known fact by everyone but you, apparently.

My god is your IQ poor. LMAO!

It's flipping hilarious that the great Dr. Gill from one of the world's most respected hospitals didn't already clear Gronk when he did. Absolutely hilarious.

It's DOUBLY hilarious that the reports are it's about his back, not his arm and Tommy John specicalist and nationally famous James Andrews.

This means he was cleared by Pats doctors and specialists, MORON:

The Blitz with Jeff Howe & Karen Guregian | Boston Herald
According to a source, Gronk is doing very well in his rehabilliation from back and forearm surgeries performed in May and June. He's "right on schedule" for a mid-September return. In fact, he's healed and advanced to the point where he would be close to playing Week 1 in Buffalo, the source said.

However, the more realistic time frame for him to be ready and in "football shape" would be shortly after, right around Game 3 against Tampa Bay assuming there are no setbacks. Now, if that's the case, it would seem unlikely the Pats would keep the tight end on the physically unable to perform list, which is currently where he resides. Having him stay on PUP would guarantee he misses the first six games. Given the timetable laid out, unless the Pats go the overly-cautious route, it would appear they'd take him off the PUP list, with thoughts of having him as early as Game 3, or perhaps Game 4 in Atlanta.

    http://www.patspulpit.com/2013/8/19/4638850/rob-gronkowski-could-return-by-week-3-of-the-regular-season-tight-end-fantasy-rankings
