Most Pats fans (not all) need to shut up and relax a little

    People, why all the panic??

We knew we had to get younger, we knew Brady would take some time to get rhythm back, and we have key injuries to Mayo and Wes.
BB and the Pats have produced 3 lombardi trophies this decade.
Some of the fans (not all) need to chill a little and let this team gel.
I have full faith in BB, coaches and management.
Lets not pull the panic just yet.
    How spoiled we have become.

We have been and continue to be (in my opinion) the model franchise in the NFL...

Cannot believe some of the comments from cry babies that this team is now done and the dynasty is over.
Chill you non believers...What kind of fans do we have if we hit the panic button anytime we don't dominate a game.

We have owned, dominated, destroyed the Jets, Bill, past 5 seasons.  From time to time, we will slip up and lose some games.  This is the NFL after all.

Have we made some mistakes, ie draft picks, players picked up etc... yes,
but who is perfect here.  Come on, give this team some slack already.

Relax people and let BB and the Krafts do there thing.
31 other NFL teams would kill to be in this dominate position the last 10 years.
    Now enjoy the ride!!Laughing

MOJOPATS....The captain on the Tiatanic said the same thing! It's only a little water we won't sink!  This has nothing to do with being spoiled as you call it, this isnt something thats happened over night, this frame work has been in place for over 5 years and it's not working.  You can pull in older players like Junior as the Pats did at a few positions to fill gaps, but you dont build a team with it.
The O-Line of the Pat's has been a problem and not addressed, the one staple the Big Tuna would say you have to have, next your linebackers. This past draft was a perfect time to grab someone but that never came to be, or some type of deal to bring in someone. This has nothing to do with panic, this has to do with getting the best players that you can and put them on the field. The Patriots are showing they have no desire to go after the money players and have shipped out others and left themeselves in a very rough situation. you may call it anyway you see it, but the facts are this, This team looks confused, it has a low moral, and without stars on the defensive side your in trouble. Not to mention the Offensive Play calling has been so easy to read that 2 sub par teams have knocked this team all over the field. We have nothing to panic about, but the Coaches of the New England Patriot's surely do.

So what if people are concerned about the present and future.
Sitting back and patting yourself on the back about past successes and putting the proverbial head in the sand is not the answer either.
The reality is the Patriots of today can't counton past glory to overcome the present challenges. BB has lost a core of quality coaches (brain drain..see Florida State for a parallel college situation) and Brady has a major injury to overcome still. Other teams (Bills and Jets have appeared to have gotten better).
Living in the past is boring and counterproductive. At least recognize the challenges ahead and don't just say because we have beat these teams consistantly in the past, we will continue to ( BB might throw you out of the coaches room if you verbalized those sentiments).

Listen, some valid points, no one is saying BB or Patriots are perfect.
However, they have a model that has produced tremendous rewards the past 10 years.  We may have different versions of what we should have done, could have done etc.... but what you cannot deny is the success this franchise has generated!  We need to relax and let them run the team.  Playing arm chair quarterback (sorry for pun) isn't gonna solve anything.  They have a model and system that they believe in, has worked in the past, and they are not deviating from it.  We all have opinions, some valid, some not, but who among us envisoined the success we have been accustomed too?  No one, lets be honest.  Now because we have stirred off a few games, all that gets thrown out the window??  Come on now, give the team, coaches, players some slack.  Yes things could have gone differently, or done differently, but it aint the case.  I personally feel comfortable where we are heading, all be it a little scary at times.  I trust bb and Kraft and we'll get this ship right again in my opinion.

hindsight is 20-20, they say. so yeah, it is now relatively easy to point to some mistakes made by the organization in the past. the thing is:

name ONE franchise that has been better managed in the last ten years.

so anyone that says the mistakes made by the organization are stupid and obvious

chances are the stupid one is him.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Most Pats fans (not all) need to shut up and relax a little : Deion Branch wanted big money.  We sure miss him, huh?  Asante Samuel wanted big money - didn't his team give up 48 this week?  Willie left for more money, and did nothing.  Lawyer Milloy, how did that work out? So did Vinateri - we replaced him with a cheaper, younger, and better (now) alternative.  The D has been turned over.  They have given up 16.5 pts per game, hardly a disaster.  They have given up less than 300 yds in each game.  This without Mayo! The O has gone on long, but ultimately unproductive drives.  This will get cleaned up as Brady gets on track with his new weapons. I just got done re-watching the game.  The Pats dominated the first half but failed to execute in the redzone.  The passing yards at halftime were 150 to -2.  Had they operated with the normal efficiency, it could have been a blowout. The second half was mired with critical penalties and dropped passes.  The much maligned O-line, under constant blitzes, gave up 0 sacks against the Jets (and 1 against the Bills).   The sky is not falling, we just need some tune ups on the offense.  The team you claim is in steady decline is 30-7 since the start of 2007.  What a disaster!
