MB, If you had to pick between Warmack and Jones, who would it be?

In my opinion, Warmack won't be available late first - so Jones would be a solid selection as he can play anywhere on the line.

I'd guess anywhere from 17-25, give or take... kid is the top offensive player on my board.

    Re: My

I think Sylvester Williams would be a solid/safe pick - he looks better than some defensive linemen I've seen go higher in weaker defensive tackle drafts. It will be interesting to see where Carradine goes - in the past it wouldn't of surprised me to see the Patriots take a gamble in hopes it pays off for the future - I think we're past that phase now (our future is right now and too much present got pushed into the future already) so I don't see us going for him unless it's late second. Elam is probably another safe pick, but I'd rather see him early in the second than in the first with us - it just looks like therer's too much safety talent to pick him that high, but we could do a lot worse.

Honestly after watching Williams workout at the combine, I don't think he will be around when we select now.

The problem with the draft page you started is it's pretty quick paced.  If you're not up to snuff on these guys one can become overwhelmed pretty quickly.  That's why I had to bow out.  I do visit to see what's up but seldom post any more.  Don't get me wrong!  Good stuff but ahead of where I am.  I don't get started until late which is after the combine.

You do good work mbeau!  Plus it's one of the few threads that doesn't get trashed.

Thanks man, I'm just a dude who enjoys him some draft, ha.

I'm not as educated on NYG team needs as you prob are, but it looks like they could use help at DE/LB/CB, etc... below are some options that should make you very happy if they're called come draft day.

    Rd 1: Pick #19

Best Case ScenarioDE Ziggy Ansah (6-5 270) BYU... fits the Jerry Reese profile of a big, long, raw, athletic kid that wreak havoc across the front.

Alternative 1DE Datone Jones (6-4 283) UCLA... versatile, athletic kid that could play all along an agressvie 4 man front like NY's... make plays behind the LOS.

Alternative 2CB Desmond Trufant (6-0 190) Washington... One of the better pure cover CB's in this class, solid combo of speed/quicks/size, has NFL bloodlines and seems to have the confidence/swagger that will allow him to play on a big stage in NY/endear him to Giant fans.

    Rd 2:  Pick #49

Best Case Scenario: LB Alec Ogletree (6-2 242) Georgia... Rd 1 talent that could be dropping due to character concerns, but is one of the better, more athletic LB talents available in this class.

Alternative: DE Margus Hunt (6-8 277) SMU- similar justification as Ansah.

Alternative: CB Logan Ryan (5-11 190) Rutgers- Local kid, quick feet, moves well, physical and an excellent tackler, will also provide value as a blitzer... solid all around CB prospect.

Is your concern with Carradine the injury or his talent level?

I hear ya man, the posts definitely accumulate quick!  Be good to have you back on there!

Thanks man, yeah once of the best parts of that thread is that there's a mutual respect amongst posters and it doesn't turn into a dumpster fire like a lot of other threads out there.
