New England interested in Revis.

Revis is going to want to cash in and he'll find somebody. The trouble with a contract like Revis' is the cap. The Pats are going to be lucky to resign Talib with the inflated price the CB position brings. Why the article was even presented in such a fashion is silly.

Drive up the price. Jets can't sign Revis. He is picked up by someone outside of the AFC East and the Jets lose him and the Pats have gotten rid of having to play against him twice a year.

We've had the luxury of courting Talib for a half season, maybe a player of his caliber likes playing under a former defensive backs coach like BB.Even a team as cash strapped as the Jests (especially in NY) can pull out of a free fall if they change their ways in the board room and make a single lucky draft pick... or maybe more than one in their case.
Revis isn't coming to NE. Talib and Dennard are bookends.

In response to MoreRings' comment:
Revis is such a selfish player.
I'd agree as he is all about getting paid and being on a winning team, though nice for him, appears to be secondary. If he was truly about being a team player, he wouldn't make it such a big deal to "get paid" and become a distraction. -

The NFL has two types of archetypical owners. One type wants to collect famous players. Star players put people in the seats before the season begins and they sell seat licenses.
The other type of owner wants to win. Strengthening the weakest link on the field is better than having one strong link on the field. Almost any quarterback will pick on the defense's weak link all day, not just Tom Brady but he's the archetype of quarterbacks that pick on defensive backs.
Revis is an excellent candidate for that first type of owner. The second type would say that Revis already gets injured too often, that he's getting older and might well get more injured and slower, that he can't guard both sides of the field and play free safety all at once. So no, New England wouldn't be interested in Revis unless he's a malcontent and comes at a huge discount, which isn't going to happen.

Revis for a #1 in a heartbeat. We just saw what a huge difference a great CB can make.

Will make 12m+ somewhere, but not for the Patriots.

This is one of the dumbest threads ever. NE is not interested in paying a CB (off a blown out ACL) who wants the biggest contract for a defensive player in an offensive era of the NFL.
My god.
Why does this board attract so many trolls?
I was referencing the article that I provided in the initial post. Don't shoot the messenger. -

This thread is a joke. BB would not pay $16m for two great DBs let alone one selfish diva.

This is hardly news, I would imagine 31 teams are "interested", doesn't mean much.

Rather have deshon Goldson from 49ers. Hard hitting safety!
