I actually am ready for them to trade him to the 9ers. That way he could be back home, win a couple more SBs with an actual major league defense and give a fan base teeming with ingrates what they deserve - Mallet.

not being grateful for having tom brady is one thing, saying he makes mistakes is another.....you just dont seem to want to admit he can do anything wrong.

I said he played mediocre or even below that today. But then that can happen against the 2nd rated defense. Same as the playoffs against the top rated Ravens D last year.

Even the great players don't always dominate a good opponent.

It's when a stiff with a 75 passer rating gouges your secondary for a 133 that you have to face the cold hard reality.

The secondary is awful.  But Brady made great play after great play.  Yes, he did have a few mistakes.  But none of those mistakes resulted in Seahawks' points.  (They did keep us from scoring points we should have scored, but they didn't result in Seahawk's points.) The problem is, I didn't see anything--anything at all--in the offense that worked other than Brady's passes.  That's why the coaches threw so much. It was the only think we had.  Take that away and we'd have nothing.  Without Brady, we very well could have been shut out by this defense.

That pass he threw in the endzone into double coverage that got picked off was a good throw...how about that pass to that ghost receiver in the endzone with gronk wide open to the right...and my favorite one where he under throws Branch when in double coverage.

Maybe he should try Mallet at saftety?

    +1

    Couldn't be any worse.

Vince at QB, Mallet at safety, Brady at corner...you think that will throw a defense off a bit.

The best part about this thread is how Hurlie and his pink panty boyfriends will claim I said this and then lie continually about it.

Brady needs to pick it up in general. It's very clear he cannot be dropping back 40+ times at age 35 in his preferred shotgun.

It's over, Tom. It's flat out over. You ain't playing until you're 40, you may not make it here past 36.

Run the ball, help Brady. Run the ball and do not sub the RB. Ridley is the guy. Stop putting inordinate pressure on the non-superstars to cover for your own imperfections.

Go look at Brady's postseason stats (good Ds) since 2007. It stinks. It's a nasty thing to think about overall as a Pats fan. He's still elite, but he has got to shake this idea that it's 2007 here.

    Good god almighty.

Yup, run that Ridley. His 2.1 yards a carry might have made all the difference today.

Brady does have 2-3 more years left in him, but Bill is wasting it with lack of talent in the back end of the defense to bail Brady out when having a tough game. Send him to the 49s let him win 1-2 more superbowls over there. Last year we got (LUCKY) in the AFC Championship game, had ravens kicker not missed we would of lost in overtime. we have young talent on offense and defense time to give the steering wheel to Mallet let him drive it.

    LMAO

I asked you ther question in the other thread:

How many plays was Ridley on the field for as opposed to Woodhead? In other words, how many of those runs was Ridley subbed back in for just to run?

You're so dumb on this topic you don't get it. lol

Brady is in the shotgun for 58 passes and you want to blame an subbed in Ridley and the O Line?

When you do you think you will wake up from your coma?  Ever? My god, Gramps.

Do you think a backup goalie in hockey should outplay the starter? LOL

You and Babe going at it on this thread..

I agree that Ridley needs more carries. Just because he has a 2.1 ypc after 7 runs doesn't mean he can't be productive. All backs get stuffed several times in a game. You have to stick with It a little longer than the patriots do, that's like Brady throwing a few incomplete passes and giving up on the pass because of it.

There is so much blame to go around for this ugly loss . The question is who played well today? Welker? Anyone else?

I don't get what benching Brady does to be able to deal him, though. Your premise is to deal Brady which would be to try to make him look as good as possible before you do that.

So, why would you bench him?

    1. Don't ever hint that you wanted to do that to keep your leverage.

    2. Play him and make him look as good as possible which means no ore 40+ passing games.

Enough with the nonsense. Rein Brady in.  Just do it. Trust Ridley and rein Brady in.  Put him under center against the better Ds. It's so F'ing simple.

If Ridley isn't getting big yard runs, Josh will give it up and tell Brady to throw throw throw. By end of game I thought Brady was gonna have 89 pass attempts to like 11 rush attempts. Josh gives it up too quick, so that makes brady throw like crazy. We might need better coaching staff, or Brady just doesnt have it anymore.

How many passes has Mallett completed in the NFL?  Hundreds if not thousands of quarterbacks have played in the NFL, the vast majority of them relative failures.  Brady is one of the best ever to play the game.  What makes you think Mallett will be different from the hundreds or thousands of relative failures and be better than one of the greatest who ever played?

no one thought Brady was gonna be better then bledsoe but here we are a a decade later. Give the kid 4Q lets see what we have. If he plays better then brady, do you have him as your starter or trade him away for picks to help improve the secondary.

If bill cant improve the secondary to give Brady a decent defense dont waste the good years he has left, I would be happy if he got a superbowl or 2 with the 49s because they have a good defense. hes not gonna be here for another 3-5 years hes not farve.

The chances of Mallett playing better than Brady are about zero.

Look at the bright side Rusty. If Ridley isn't in, he can't fumble.
