    I just read on SF.com some 9er fan posted "Patriots can't even beat Arizona, should have lost to the Jets.  Not worried.  I guess your not the only idiot fan.

    That's right.  Everyone knows that beating a team one week is very indicative of what will happen the next week.  This is proven in the NFL over and over again.  In fact, beating a team in th regular season by such  a huge margin all but gauarantees a win if you were to face that same team in the playoffs.

    You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.

    You see, one is predicting a victory against one team based on what happend last week against a different team, the other is lookig at the results and deciding that beating an 8-8 team, winning by another team missing a kick and losing to a 9-7 team and realizing that the Steelers (and the Ravens) were better teams.

    They really are. Unlike the 2007 season when they peaked early this years team is playing their best football heading into the playoffs.

    i like the confidence, but san fransisco's loss to the rams has NO impact on this game.....the pats have a tough test this sunday....they passed their first test against the texans with ease, but the 49ers bring a different challenge. hopefully the pats are up to it again
