It didn't scare me earlier today when I already conceded he was going to the Jets. This just proves they dont have the cash.
We all knew they rolled the dice last season and that this year would be impossible for them to keep the core team together.
Jenkins, Woody, Smith, Cro........its just starting.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: NNamdi Asomuga is a Eagle!!! : It proves that they were not willing to spend 12 mil on a second CB.  Probably, a good idea.

A day ago it was a brilliant idea, and Mike Tannenbaum was a genius at managing the CAP.

That was a quick 180 in the other direction.

MsCheater that 10mil you keep claiming was pure luck and begging. They had 10.4mil in dead money from releases before March 11th. The league decided that dead money doesn't count if done before the March 11th (which the Jets were the huge beneficiary). So the brilliant 10mil you brag about shouldn't be there but for some reason this past week it was decided that they should get it back. Otherwise they would of had to completely restructure everyone (like what they did to try to get Aso) just to resign Holmes by himself.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: NNamdi Asomuga is a Eagle!!! : Seriously, just stop.  Now the money is luck?  You think the Jets cut 5 guys by the deadline by accident?  Do you think Bellichick spent 150 mil last year (and still couldn't win a playoff game), by accident?  It is so pathetic to attempt to make an arguament about what shouldn't be.  It is just like the crying about the 2007 superbowl catch.  It shouldn't have happened... get over it, it did.  Mark, career rating of 70, Sanchez, should not have thrown 3 TDs and had a rating of 127 against all world CB McCourty and coach of the century Bill, but he did.  Tom Brady should not have been sacked 5 times and look like he was starting in the sun the whole game, but he did.   You keep living in a world of what should be, I'll be over here in reality.

I'm enjoying reality. The reality being that the Jets just got worked over by Nnamdi. They come away with....

    1) No Nnamdi
    2) No Cromartie (as of now)
    3) Multiple free-agents that they have yet to sign (due to significant attention paid to Nnamdi)
    4) Lost Brad Smith
    5) Multiple restructured contracts
