Bodden will be healthy, McCourty is a keeper and he will want huge money. Do the Pats pay Bodden 4m to be a nickle and dime DB ? -

NO.
He's not worth the 16+ million per year he'll command. Bodden is very good, completely underrated and he and McCourty will be arguably the league's best duo in 2012.
Asamouga is a great player, probably the best CB in the NFL, and has been for 5 years, but that money allocated to that position makes NO SENSE in the Patriots model.
Expect the cap ceiling to be lower in the new CBA, if they do avoid a lockout. -

All BB can do, is offer him a REASONABLE #, adding the obvious advantage of being with a playoff, Super bowl contender, and let it go at that. With Bodden and McCourty, not exactly hurting at CB. -

Will probably become a Jet. Cromartie is a free agent next year and Rex would love to have two shut-down corners. -
