    Not so Special Teams

Costing Pats bigtime. They did cost them the sanfran game in the end as well. Need to lift their game bigtime.

Once every few games you get burnt. However, this giving up 50-60 yd returns 3 or 4 times a game needs to be fixed pretty darn quick.

Yeah, only downside of today's game; well, besides injuries to Gronk and Woody. Long kickoff returns set up 17 of the Texans' 28 points.

Strange development; this has always been a strong suit of the Pats in the past.

Wow, whatever it was, it was not pretty.  Without that mess we probably win by 30.

Yes, long returns helped Texans get 10 points.  Kudos to Mccourty though for saving a TD on the first play.

    Re: Not so Special Teams

Special Teams started going downhill when Edelman went down.   Yes, he was that good doing that job.  I have confidence they can correct the coverage schemes, but Ghost must be more consistent on KOs.  Kicking to the same end of the field with little wind he can vary distance by 15-20 yards.  With the new Goodell KO line there is no excuse in these conditions to allow a return unless the coaches want it.

At least they did not give up a TD on KO return, and a TD on punt return, like the great Raven ST.

This is a big concern going into next week, that kid Jones is even better than Manning. This year watching games maybe 1 return in whole game is ok. Today was ridiculous.

Give the Ravens a short field always we're going to be in big trouble.

agreed. we spoke of it earlier!!!

    Re: Not so Special Teams

Mesko had a very good game.

    Ghost kicked well

    Poor lane coverage on KO

Poor blocking up the middle on punts (2 almost blocked)

Welker and McCourty poor on returns.
