I believe the pats were very aware of Spikes relationship with Hern, and his hanging out at the AH drug house very frequently.
Only a Pats apologist would say there is no relevancy to this story, and every major media outlet continues to follow it and report any updates to it.
The Pats are one of the NFL poster glamour teams, with TB, RK, Gronk, Revis and BB getting huge national pub. For the Hern situation to have taken place right under their collective noses, is too juicy and interesting for any outlet to resist. ( let's not lose sight of the real reason TT was brought in, with never, ever an iota chance of making this roster. Let's simply call him an expensive baby sitter/psychologist/conscience to what has been reported as an emotionally falling apart Hern)
Interesting take on the Tebow signing . . . do you really believe they brought him in mostly to try to get Hernandez to reconnect with more positive people from his past?
That was one of the reports honestly. That's what Meyer did and BB is close to Meyer. It's actually pretty hard to believe the Pats didn't know Hern's past with a resource like Meyer.
So the Jets mistook Tebow for a real NFL quarterback and the Pats mistook him for the real Jesus. Only a real QB can throw passes in the NFL, and only the real Jesus can save souls . . .
