    Re: O'Brien Must Go

Didn't the Patriots see the same defensive scheme in the SB loss to the Giants?  The Giants overwhelemed the Patriots offensive line as did the Ravens.  You would think the coaches, especially O'Brien could acculately predict the Ravens would go all out after Brady as being the best opportunity to win the game. The Patriots failed miserably at acheiving any offensive balance all season.  This taken with the predictable and terrible play calling week after week was a recipe for disaster.

I know it's easy to pile on this guy .I know!! But look at what they gave him. A Oline that can't block without the help of the TE's or a back chipping. A running game that has to be forecast. Ran by two 30+ backs,a dancer, and no true FB. They let Gaffney walk for Lewis and Galloway who they never seen play in this system. Took a gamble on a rookie WR coming off a injury. Then ended up with special teams Wr's and a rookie QB convert.

O'brien and Pee's need to both go. The Play calling was very bland on both sides of the ball this year

Chan Gailey is a student of the system Bill Belichick has employed based off the Giants of the 80's and earlier teams, he might be a perfect fit if they can get him to run the offense?
