Well...a simple request for clarification has gone severely off the rails.

There are good and bad in every country, in every fighting force on the planet.

All the petty name calling and "you don't know this...I know that...I'm better, you're worse..." this is the root of many problems. Nobody is better than anyone else.

Except me, I'm better than ALL of you! Now listen to my words and stop this nonsense before I insult you into submission.

A voice of reason from the omnipotent - we are grateful oh superior one.

    pretty simple actually:

Military - A lot of combat now happens in cities. It's hard to practice tight cover fire for military choppers in those environments unless it's actually done in a city. I'm sure they have different electronic practice targets setup everywhere to simulate rpg enemies on roft tops or snipers in buildings

Cops - This has been happening since the police forces first formed. Police are the first line of civilian defense until the state militia's can form and the military can arrive. Joint exercises increase awareness incase an incident occurs such as roits, terrorist attack, or even as far fetched as it can seem an invasion

    -1 try again

has nothing to do with training for combat in foreign cities as this houston incident was at a SCHOOL

Seriously, if there wasn't prior notification of the civilian populace, there should have been.  On the other hand, quite a bit of the combat our troops have been involved with has been in an urban setting.  It was a vacant school building which is quite suitable for that kind of training.

I'm not a Constitutional scholar but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was against the law to have a sitting army inside of our borders or use our own armed forces against us, pretty sure that is what the national Guard is for.
