    Offense is killing this team

    Where do we start:

Unimaginative play calling: why is it that in the seciond half of every game they revert back to the shotgun formation with pass after pass to Welker? So predictable it's painful. We need a coordinator badly!

No running game: Again, game after game they start out running the ball then abandon it. Not sure there is enough talent here to sustain an effective attack

Tom Brady is just a pedestrian QB right now: Misses at least 2 sure TD passes per game. Can't get on the same page with any of his WR's except Welker. Maybe it wasn't Galloway that was the problem..he can't connect with Moss either and Tom seems to be taking his frustrations out on the receivers at least once per game. The Welker "sure TD" pass late is a perfect example. That was all Tom's fault. He's playing average at best right now

What is going on with this years Offensive Line???  The Offensive Line seems Flat with NO Spark...  On paper our Patriots have a super Team with Super Coaches and a Super Owner with Super Fans.  I am just sick watching this Offensive Line move around the field and I know they are a better Team than Denver.  17 points are just sick and the Patriots should of had 30 or 40 points and they are just leaving to many points of the Field.  We got out played and out Coached again.

I agree that the offense is way under performing for the talent that is there. Tom had a bad game for his standards yesterday. If you watch the games again ( and again and again) you'll see that yesterday that they gave Tom max protection. That gives you fewer choices to throw and they were sending only 3 and 4 guys and dropping in to coverage. ( much like what we use to do to Manning ). Those guys for the most part where covered. There was one 3rd and long that Welker stopped his route short. Tom had a lot of time, but no one open. The few times he did have the open shot, he missed. I can't believe this will happen for 11 more games. The defense has more than beaten expectations.

Yes, it seems we need better play calling. I remember a couple of plays vs. Ravens where Brady (pump) faked the wide receiver and handed off for good gains, so I am wondering why they have not use more deception like that in the offense this year. Brady is still a bit rusty/uncomfortable in the pocket, but that should improve with time. (BTW, you guys out there who called him "scared" are clueless, as you have no idea what's it's like to stand in an NFL pocket, with Maniacs like Suggs, Lewis, and Merriman around you) It is possible that the League has caught up a lot with BB's genius and that he is no longer able to win easily with just a good (not great) team. Until Brady recovers completely, mentally and physically, Pats are only a good team.

It's all about Brady. Like you said misses two sure TDs and theres 31 points against a good defense. He got outplayed by Orton...Orton! I'm pretty sure if you switched the QBs yesterday the Pats would have won. Orton seems to be focused and not Hollywood and supermodels!

well, what a nice career for Brady.
3 rings and a league mvp. that's enough I guess.
The way he went down in '08  and Cassel's performance was a sign.
    BB traded the wrong QB.

Re: Offense is killing this team

One of the Problems with the Offense is the fact that we have one wide receiver that goes over the middle (Wellker) and Moss on the other side who get's doubled and the Saftey cheats to his side . Why because they have nobody as a threat on the other side. People forget that the record breaking TD year was caused because they couldn't do this to Moss or Stallworth would kill them. This is  a real problem going forward.

They no longer control the clock like they used to.  In fact, they aren't on the field very along, aside from a few drives.  In addition, they have a tendecy to trade 2-for-7 against the good teams/QB's.  At this junction, this is not a play-off team.  If they got in, they'd stand about as much of a chance to progress as the Red Sox winning the World Series.  Look- juts getting in the tournament isn't good enouhg.  It's important to have a team ready and able to compete.

TB could not even hit Wilfork in the back.  Let alone a throw 10 yards down the field. That is the problem...not the line
