Late in the fourth quarter, Gronkowski headed to the locker room and didn't return. He's set for X-rays to determine if there's a fracture. Before going down, Gronk piled up a 7/137/2 line in his usual dominating fashion. All owners can do for now is hold their collective breath. -

Wow, that's a bummer. I guess the only positive is that it should allow his other injuries to heal. Hopefully he's back in a few weeks with a cast.

The offense is beginning to really hit stride, Gronk is a huge part of that. We will need Hernandez back out there, this will sting.

X-rays show Rob Gronkowski indeed has a broken forearm.
It's likely to cost Gronkowski 4-6 weeks, if not longer. Although they are different kinds of players, the loss of Gronk may force the Patriots to act with more urgency on Aaron Hernandez (ankle), who's been practicing the past two weeks but has not played in games. Gronkowski is such a valuable player to New England's offense that he figures to be kept on the roster, rather than placed on injured reserve, in hopes of a very late-season or postseason return. It's obviously a crushing blow to fantasy owners, as well. Gronkowski was the No. 1 overall fantasy tight end through ten games. -

It's like Bill Belichick can predict the future. It all makes sense now. Why else would he have signed 8 TEs?

^^^^ It actually might simplify things, huh? But they do lose the best redzone option in the game today.
