Hey . . .  I like hyperbole as much as the next guy (maybe even more) but correlating Tim Tebow to Steve Young is like saying me and Brad Pitt are the same because we're both white guys who don't have sex with Jennifer Aniston.

Now you listen here! He's not the Messiah . . .   he's a very naughty boy!

You mean I'm the same as p-Mike  O.O   now that just made my day.

and BB drafted Bulter in the early 2nd and Maroney in the 1st. Sometimes even the best make mistakes. Now McDaniels has no excuse but BB this is a no risk venture if he can keep the media at bay. Whatever he spent on Tebow Kraft will make back in concession sales during preseason practices and preseason games with all the loyal Tebowites out there even if Tebow gets cut. Plus with no guaranteed money BB can cut if him if he does workout. The only risk BB runs is the media circus that comes with Tebow. It's not like BB hasn't brought in players before and cut them later because they didn't pan out. Heck BB kept a player on the 53man squad all year that stunk  (Ocho) and we all said he stunk. Sometimes, rarely, BB does do something crazy and this board does get it right over him. It's just not often in the least so by far and away he's a better choice then everyone on the board combined

I'm no Tebow worshiper but I guess I don't understand the extreme opinions of him from both ends. I think it's pretty safe to say he will never be a hall of famer or even all pro but I don't think he's as horrible as some say either. At the very least it will be interesting drama come training camp.

If there was ever a year to be on Hard Knocks this would be it. :)

[/QUOTE] I knew the haters would come out,I was just trying to identify those who hate and judge without knowledge. First of all Wozzy you didn't even read the caption it says right in the header "Once upon a time", you should have known better than to jump in with both feet and your mouth wide open. I truly hope Tim does succeed, because then folks like you will shut up permenantly! Haters hate because they suffer from envy.

Or that they can't stand people raising a guy above his level for something other than the abilities he's being raised to? Tebow isn't a good NFL QB, JAG at best, and he hasn't shown any ability to play anything else right now. You can hate his game without hating the person but when the blind followers turn him into something he's not and act persecuted because of it. Remove posts like these and the blind loyality that is currently following a 3rd string QB in the media and from fans and suddenly the guy isn't even an after thought to consider his actually abilities

sportsbozo, I don't hate anyone, the only reason I'm annoyed by Tebow is that we're talking about a third stringer, we're buying into the hype, we should be ashamed.

Moreover it's because I have enough actual knowledge, his stats, that's all that really determines his being a QB in America or Canada.  And all because some idiot reporter reported Belichick "hated" Tebow the player... I usually detest the off season, it becomes miserable around here, now it's worse...

By the way Wozzy and others.... I am not naive or in love with Tebow.... I am just saying I would love to see the Jets embarrassed by the pats in every way possible and a player they are paying for beating them in a game they want to win and need to win is too good a "Fairy" tale to not comment on....

I hope that Tebow is only holding the extra point that wins the game.....anything where he helps beat the Jets... because I hate the Jets...
